8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

You might have put it in incorrectly. Sometimes it could be as simple as taking the cartridge out and putting it back head but make sure it is snapped in correctly. Also, you could try unplugging the machine, taking the cartridge out and then replacing it once the machine is on. That could work as well. If it doesn't let me know.

2. Lift the scanner unit. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the printer is busy.
3. Press down on the cartridge carrier latch to raise the cartridge carrier lid.
4. Remove the used print cartridge. Then insert the new cartridges.

Check Page Preview before printing your file and see if the application you are using recognizes the entire page and does not cut-off the edges.
You can try to print Fit to Page or Borderless and see if that helps.

Make sure the USB cable is properly inserted behind your printer in the USB port. You may try to unplug then replug the cable to ensure proper connection (forgive me for suggesting this but I have encountered quite a number of instances where the cable was not properly inserted).It could also be a Print Spooler issue. Ensure that the spooler service is running. On your computer, go to Start menu > Run > type Services.msc > hit OK or enter. Scroll through the Services items and look for Print Spooler. Right-click on the item and select Start (if item is currently on Stop). You may also select Restart. For some reason, even though your printer is seen by your wireless network, not seen by your computer.

From your responses, I was unable to tell if you have:

Removed and reinstalled the Lexmark x4650 on your computer

If you have reinstalled and are still experiencing problems, set up your wireless printer on your network again. Let me know if your don't have the setup instructions. Then, you may need to reinstall the printer on your computer.

Go to system settings and select the 'Printer' option.

Right-click on the printer and enable the 'Use Printer Online' function.

Cancel all the printing jobs till that moment and redo the process.

Sometimes the 'Printer Offline' message occurs due to a 'Job Stuck' issue.

Check all network connections and functions.

Be sure the network interfaces work properly.

Turn the printer off and on to see whether the device is working properly.

Unplug the power supply(the black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached).
Hold down Start and Cancel buttons at the same time while plugging back the power supply.
Keep on holding down the 2 buttons firmly until English Language Selection appears on the the display.

Good job in re-seating the cartridges into the printer. Try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if your other cartridge has gone bad.

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.

If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

Lexmark is one of the most popular printer manufacturers, and the installation process is fairly straightforward no matter what computer brand you have. Lexmark, however, doesn't always include all of the equipment required to hook up the printer. If you want to hook up your Lexmark printer to your Gateway laptop, you will probably need to purchase a printer USB cable.

1.Plug your Lexmark printer into the power outlet.
2.Turn on your laptop, or make sure all software programs are closed if your computer is already on.
