Turn on power the power light lights up for few
The first step in troubleshooting this would be to perform a reset on the TV. You can do this by unplugging it from power for a couple of hours. Once you've done this, plug it back in and power it on and see if any issues persist.
If there is audio but no video you may be experiencing processor failure and some additional troubleshooting is going to be needed.
If there's no video or audio, chances are something caused the TV to short out somewhere. Most of the time the culprit is the actual power supply itself. The repairs on these aren't too difficult or pricey and if the TV is still under warranty you should be able to get it fixed for free.

Why won't my JVC LCD TV turn on?
If it doesn't turn ON at all; the fault should be with its main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
JVC tv stuck one channe
I would either call JVC to see if known issue or to inquire if set has a lockout feature that kills remote and all button features----other possible reason in main board with all micro functions has a problem.

2. while holding these, press the [power] button on the side of TV (NOT remote)

HelloCheck the connection strip from T'Con board to LCD panel for any loose contact, at the connection point. If this connection is OK, replace its T'Con [Timing Control] board, with same number.
Need Part Picture tupe is out where to I get
First there is not a picture tube in this set, it's called LCD which is a Liquid Crystal Display, kind of like a laptop computer monitor. If your panel is out then it could be an inverter board bad or if you don't have LED lights on then it could be your power supply. Try shopjimmy.com or discount-merchant.com or google for other parts distributors.
Tv turns off by itself
I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.
Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV
up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors.
Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although
were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of
preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected
due to these defective capacitors.
Solutions?
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.
Hope this helps
