I cannot find the place to connect power cord

I've never had this TV but from what I can find on the internet the power connector is either at mid bottom or mid top of the backside. As for the cable it should be shaped like an 8 with one half more box shape. My TV's power connecter is on the very bottom. Wish I could help you more, but without seeing this model this is all I am able to say. Good Luck.

On a 19 inch set it may not be cost effective to repair---if using a box for signal disconnect it and the set from power for a while and power back to see on the faint chance if a reboot will help or not.Short of that the most common cause would be a main board, the one the set uses to control and manage everything and the most expensive board.

Tv wont turn on

I see so many here with no sound/no picture issues: ISSUES: 1. IF sound main fuse/s are good. 2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signs of damage you can see---burnt parts etc. 3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down the problem. 4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set. Answers to issues: 1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the generic ones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don't put a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason. 2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses a standby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined and some not. Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on the power/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--I attach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flat and have no brown material coming out on top or bottom. What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating (saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs 7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail. 3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have to buy and try a board to see if it fixes it or not. 4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over. If set is opened at least look for puffed up and bad caps like in this photo. 11_7_2012_2_17_24_pm.jpg11_7_2012_2_17_48_pm.jpg

My Philips 19pfl3403d/f7 wont turn on without unplugging first.

just call philips and they will send you a new t.v.! it isn't a recall, that would be bad publicity!! i spoke with a philips representative yesterday concerning my 'possessed' television. a gentlemen informed me that philips has a 'rapid replacement program' for the described 'possessed' t.v. set. simply provide model and serial numbers, time and place of purchase, then provide street address for fed-ex delivery. approximate time of arrival is 10-15 days. you are directed to package and return the old set to nearest fed-ex pick up site. i am super excited that i took the time to call philips support. i think that i spent a total of 10 minutes on the telephone; it was time well spent. oh yea, here's the number!

Model 19PFL3403D/27 having trouble powering on the

The most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board.
I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, you can purchase a Service Manual over the internet and diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.

I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

Hello, make sure power cord is pushed in all the way in to the tv. Also make sure you have power at your outlet. I know it sounds dumb, but I've seen people chase their tail for hours before coming to the conclusion that a circuit breaker was tripped. Make sure you have good batteries in the remote. If the TV has a power button on the tv, try turning it on there instead of the remote. You can check to see if there is an on/off switch in the back. Besides this it should be pretty straight forward. You might have a defective tv
Hope this helps
Thank you in advance for your feedback

The tv will not power on. Outlet is good. cord

Does the standby light come on at all or is it completely black?

Check to see if there is a fuse holder right where the power cord enters the back of the tv.

Good luck and keep us updated on your troubleshooting progress.
