Oh dear that's the worst thing that can happen during a bios update. the bios chip is probably now useless rendering the laptop useless. You will need a new motherboard I am afraid to say.

Please help my Tosiba L300 is asking for a BIOS

All you need to do to access the BIOS is to reset it. To reset the BIOS you would need to remove the CMOS battery and place it back, the BIOS password will be back to default and you able to access the BIOS.

NOTE: the CMOS battery is located at the back of your laptop, or it will be much better for you to call a local technician and have him do it for you.

For you to use the recovery disc, once you boot the computer press F12 then select to boot your computer to (CD\DVD drive) make sure that the disc is in the disc tray, then press enter. Your computer will automatically boot into you recovery disc.

Cheers

I need a webcam driver that can work on Toshiba

Go to this page @ Toshiba Support for your model and download and install the Camera Utilty. Even though it says XP/Vista, almost all Vista Drivers will work with W7 Ultimate.

Problems booting windows vista on toshiba

You may need to re-install the operating system all over again as you had tried to restore your computer using Restore Disc but failed. In these cases, you will have to try to wipe all your data and install OS once again.

Our DVD player on our laptop is not working and

Hi,

It sounds like your DVD drive has become slightly unseated in it's mount (was the laptop dropped recently?) or else information about it has become corrupted in the operating system.

Will the machine boot to a CD or DVD if it is inserted at boot time and booting from the DVD drive is first in the BIOS settings? If so, the problem is in software, if not, you have hardware problems, likely a bad
DVD drive or the drive has become unseated in it's mount.

If it is a software problem:

Make sure the DVD drive is pushed all the way into the body of the machine, and then go into device manager and right click on the non-functioning DVD drive and select UNINSTALL (or delete). Agree to remove the device completely from the operating system if asked. Now reboot the machine, and it should re-install and initiate the communication with the drive.

If this fails to resolve the problem, you might consider the following more advanced fixes, but beware there are risks involved.

First, go into the system BIOS at boot time and DISABLE the DVD drive in the BIOS and then reboot your machine. In device manager, find the setting for SHOW ALL DEVICES which will show the DVD drive it no longer can see; the icon should be greyed out. UNINSTALL it. Then reboot into the BIOS, and reENABLE the DVD drive in the BIOS and reboot to Windows and see if it is recognised. You can also try going into the drive's properties in device manager and changing/updating the drivers from their default to any other set that is compatible, and then switching back (Windows will change the registry settings each time).

If this fails but the machine will boot to a CD, you might have to consider reinstalling a fresh copy of Windows.

If it is a hardware problem:

Turn the laptop over (unplugged from the power of course) and try to identify the two or three screws that hold the DVD drive in, and carefully unscrew them. With the DVD drive's door open, pull gently and the drive should come clean out of the machine. If it does not come out pretty easily, you have missed a screw. With the DVD drive out, close the door and check the connections on the tail of the unit - is there anything unusual - bent or broken connector? Try reseating the DVD unit firmly in the laptop and rebooting again...

Good luck...

I bought a l300/l300d series toshba laptop a year

Sounds like your operating system is corrupted.

You could try to fix with Malware and Spyware software (Malwarebytes and Spybot), but you probably need to reinstall the operating system (Windows XP ? Vista ?).

There is also a possibility that your memory is bad. Remove all and reinsert one module at a time to test.

Hope this helps.

you may plug off remote monitor power on to see carefully is there normal dark picture on your lcd screen,
!) lcd dark but there is pcture on the screen, it means the back lights inverter damage(which in the lcd lid and downside of lcd panel), or lamp damage (in the lcd panel), have to replace new parts
2) no any picture and dark panel, you may check lcd signal cable plugs are right seat in the sockets (which located between the back of lcd panel and motherboard), also check the inverter cable same thing (it merges in LCD cable) . it is better replace a new cable (most cases are cable disconnection somewhere)

try reading this page: http://www.frequencycast.co.uk/homehub.html

looks like your router config URL is
http://bthomehub.home/
try digging around in there to find/change your password and to see how your wireless is configured. I can't give you more detail, I have never had any experience with HomeHubs... you may wanna read through your homeHub manual (the wireless section or whatever).
ah those British beople always have to do everyhing their own way... lol.
sorry I couldn't be more help. good luck.

Is the product key for Microsoft office 2013 the same as all product keys for 2013 Microsoft offices that operate under laptops using windows 8.1?

The product key is associated with the MS Office 2013 software, not the specific MS Windows version of Operating System - unless the MS Office lists a minimum version of OS ie: "Windows 8.0" In this case, it would not install on Windows 7. Otherwise, you should be able to install it on Windows 7, Windows 8, or later.

Japanese Visa Application with COE denied. Why?

How to Get Employment Security With Correct Japan Work Visa Japan is no different from other developing nations whereby grass seems greener on its side of the pasture. It attracts its fair share of foreign businesses as well as nationals seeking to work within its lands. Albeit many adhere to immigration procedures, some choose to test their limits on the basis of ignorance or defiance. By understanding the different types of work visa in Japan, it assures its foreign workers a continual stream of income with no threat of arrest and deportation. Visa simply infers the status of residence. Citizens obviously have no need of it as they automatically satisfy qualifications to freely reside in their country of birth. As for those of alien status who wish to join the local workforce, there should be a category to match one's requirement. Since most countries strive to improve the overall quality of life, professionals are generally welcomed to contribute knowledge and skill. Unskilled labor is normally not granted a visa to avoid flooding and dilution of the workforce. The visa is awarded in accordance to one's area of expertise. Supported with proof of relevant experience, it is based on the field of involvement whilst working in the country. In the event one's work scope changes from one expertise to another, it is essential to apply for a visa under the new circumstances. Different types of work visa in Japan also apply to foreign companies seeking to conduct local business. Domestic companies based abroad wishing to set up a local point of presence need to provide supporting documents to justify internal transfer of foreign workers. Governmental staff for diplomatic duties is assigned a category for legal residence. Over and above the general groupings, designated activities also garner approval from the authorities. Domestic service for non-native residents and citizens of certain nations on working holidays fall into this category of working visa. This, by no means, is the end of the list as it is best to consult the authorities on which visa serves best.Click Here For More Details: http://japanjobandvisaservice.com/blog/change-your-luck-when-apply-work-visa
