I get this when my laptop does not connect. I check the router and most of the time this is all it it. just either reset it or disconnect it for a time and then reconnect. works for me.

On the drawer front, next to the eject button, there is a tiny pin hole. Poke a pin in it and the drawer will open.
A temp. fix but at least you can use the drive.

If the keys are working on a notepad or else while typing it the issue is not with the arrow keys but with the key controls of the game that you are playing. Please change the setting of the keys while playing game or else try playing another game using the same arrow keys, i m sure it would work.

Its not the fault of your media, or ur dvd player. It is the matter of the burning process so don't bother about ur media or player. try to burn not exact the same amount of stuffs as exact as space in DVD. pls leave some space for ur writer so that it can place the supporting stuffs to burn ur stuffs properly.

are you speaking of the ribbon cable or power cable??

Take the keyboard out and make sure this is no debris underneath it like little plastic pieces, possible screws, etc. If there is no debris there then with the keyboard out, press on the keys and if it still feels like there is something in the keyboard. then the plastic tactile under the key that is bad. They have a habit of going bad after so many times being pressed on. You might have several keys that are like this. With the keyboard out if it doesn't feel like something is underneath the keyboard THEN at that point it could be your cooling system depending on how its installed and how close to the keyboard it is.

You may just need to update the driver
if you just bought it and they are faulty i would be taking it back

I read in a yahoo post it had something to do with the weather channel.  Here is what they said. The problem on my computer was caused by The Weather Channel desktop software program. It went away the next time I upgraded that program.

u the restore button again and get the computer to last time when it was working againg.
you can get the same by tapping F8 button on key board when you inicially see the dell logo ,while turning the computer on..
We will iupdate the windows in "safe mode with networking" mode so u will not get
blue screen again.
for getting "safe mode with networking" keep tapping F8 button while computer is just turning on and ur seeing dell logo.
After the updates are installed computer will restart properly..
i have worked as dell tech support guy at A5 level..
so am sure it would work..

Normally above the keyboard where all the on/off buttons are, that face plate clips off and under there are screws to loosen the keyboard..

you should be able to use the internal mic, there should be some type of audio/video setup in sype program. If not then you shoud goto control panel, sound, then click recording tab @ top and check to make sure your internal mic is set to default and that it is operating properly

Do you have Windows XP ?
Did you try SAFE Mode ?

If you can get into SAFE Mode, than do a disk check !

Are you able to boot machine? Then take a backup of your data and format it (If possible).

If you have a dell diagnostics utility CD, then boot it from CD and scan for hardware errors. If it detect anything, ask dell to replace it.
