Sounds like you've exceeded your device's storage limits. If you can hook it up to a computer, go into the device's storage (via a file explorer), delete 5 or 6 MP3 files from the player. They usually average 4 to 5 MB's each. That should give the unit enough free space to start up correctly.

Mac reformatted

MP3 players expect an MS-DOS (or FAT) format. They do not read Mac formatted memory. Reformat the MP3 player to MS-DOS format (your files will be deleted, so back them up if necessary) and the player should read the memory once more.

For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer. You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. There should be a small hole somewhere on one of the sides of the device, small enough that only something such as a needle or a paper clip can fit into it. use a small item to press the button that resides in this hole. Most modern MP3 players have this small hole and its a basic reset function for the operating system that runs the MP3 player. Also you may want to try updating the firmware on your device here

Usb port broke and missing which doesn't turn on,

You can buy a new USB female connector and solder it on the PCB of your MP3 player.
You will need a female Mini-USB Type B connector, a soldering iron with a fine tip, flux and some solder wire.
1. Open the case of the MP3 player and look for the spot the lost USB connector was soldered on. 2. Clean the pads with a cotton swab and some clear alcohol. 3. Clean the female USB connector using the same method. 4. Heat up the soldering iron to a moderate temparature. 5. Put some flux on the solder pads. 6. Place the female USB connector on the pads and solder it on by touching the soldering iron and the solder wire on the pads until a tiny drop of solder makes the connection. The solder should flow on the pads because of the flux. 7. Re-assemble the MP3 player.
You can then test the connection using a multimeter.
Good luck!
