Use the Player Loader module to transfer the videos (it automatically does the conversion based on the player that is connected). As long as you can play the videos in Windows Media Player, you should be able to transfer them to your device.

The help file provides further detail on how to use the Player Loader module and can be accessed by clicking on the easyRip Module Dock icon with the '?' symbol on it.

Can you please add further detail as to what you mean by locked, did you mean locked up and not working or that the device is telling you that it is locked?

If it is the device telling you that it is locked, there is a sliding mechanism on the back that Locks and Unlocks it. Simply move that away from the directional arrow to unlock.

When I turn on my M4304 OPAL it says Initalizing..... profiling requires 20MB free space. Shutting down. Then shuts off. If I plug it into my computer to try and delete files. My computer does not recongize it. It shows that is have a full battery. I have tried all the re-set methods given. I have tried downloading an upgrade. Nothing works. Can you help?

When an mp3 player is locked and you try to turn it on, it will shut down again. You have the keys locked by the switch on the back. Flip the button that says "LOCK >" to the left to cover the little red dot and it should be unlocked, then try turning it on again.

In order to create the media library database for your device to work properly, there needs to be at least 50MB of free space. Just delete a few songs and try again.

You could also use easyRip's Device Info module to switch to MSC mode if you have addition MTP conflicts

(Either way, you do need 50MB of free space on your device for it to power on and create the db properly)

You need to update the firmware. You can do this by going to rca's website. After it's installed everything should work fine. My Opal did the exact same thing.

This model does not support playlists, but in the event they ever do supply an update with that fix (rumor has it they will!) then it will be located under the "Favorites" section in the mp3 player.

try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilitys from the manufacturers website

try using windows media player or just plain old drag and drop see if that helps

leave it plugged into the pc for a few hours and it will charge

try the rca website if all your looking to do is load it up try windows media player

goto the rca website and find the latest firmware from there and download that reflash the mp3 player and that should do it

Log onto the RCA website and download the RCA SMV Video Converter. The Opal only plays videos that are in one specific format. This converter will put your videos into that exact format (see Resources below).
Install the RCA SMV Video Converter once you have downloaded the software.
Open the RCA SMV Video Converter software to begin putting videos onto your RCA Opal.
Connect the RCA Opal to your computer using the USB chord that came with the device.
Wait until the RCA SMV Video Converter software reads that the device has been connected. You will know this when the bottom of the software screen reads “Player Detected: Opal 1GB 2GB.”
Select the “Browse” option to find any videos that are on your computer which you wish to add to the RCA Opal.
Click the box next to “Transfer output files to OPAL 1GB 2GB after conversion is complete” after you have selected all of the videos which you wish to convert. This will automatically add the videos to your RCA Opal after they have been converted.
Click the “Convert” box after you have selected all of the videos. The videos will automatically begin to convert to the correct format. Once they have been converted, your videos will automatically upload to your RCA Opal.
