Maybe there is a interference suppression capacitor for radio supression near the switch have to only remove it . i do it by the most Bosch powertools because it made more problems than the purpose for which they are.

My hitachi jackhammer runs slow and gets hot
The armature AND electric field must together replaced to get a safe working again, and the defect will not repeat if it be shure have its operating hours on it and give a full service.

Bosch gbh5 will keep loosing its hammer
It sounds like the gearbox oil is getting low. The GBH5 uses oil in the gearbox, not a grease - the grease is used for assembly only. The correct type is a PG-150 (fully synthetic gear oil). Unable to find it in small quantities, I now use PAG150 oil for automotive a/c systems, it's available in small bottles. As for quantity, no-one seems to know... I just fill to cover the big bottom gears.

My jackhammer will not run, the cord and switch are good
Check your brushes. The brushes on the Brute breaker have a spring loaded, non-conductive pin in them. When either brush wears down far enough the pin pops out and prevents damage to the expensive armature. If by chance the brushes are OK you may have to have your armature tested.

you would have to look at the nameplate data for this information, there should be about a 9 or 10 digit number and this would tell you exactly. If you need more assistance let me know.

I was using the bosch jack hammer and it just
could be quite a few things, check the cord for a break that might have shorted the outlet. Also this tool requires 20 amp service so it could have affected the brushes, switch or other major electrical parts. Unless you are mechanically inclined and have a volt ohms meter I would suggest taking for repair.

@runs hot motor feels slow
Bosch brute is made to work all day every day and will continue to do so if it is not over or under powered and properly lubed. If not powered correctly, motor will not turn at full rpm, get very hot and burn brushes to point that auto stop feature will stop motor (brush will push away from armature, or burn switch). The hammer will overheat if too long or wrong gauge of cord is used. Also if run on generator with voltage /cycles incorrect. Under normal use, motor will not get very hot. Another problem with overheating is that the grease will melt out of range to do any proper lubrication. If you are sure that it is getting proper voltage /amps then may need lubrication or bearing work. Remove bearing cover and turn armature by hand. It should be easy to turn. If stiff, suspect bearing/grease. With amp meter connected, check amp draw and compare to rated amps.

I have a bosch brute
Take it back as it is still under warranty. If there was anything you could do other than letting it cool down it would be in the instructions.( which you have since it is brand new.)

How much and what type of lube do i put in the
Best practice is to purchase service kit part # 1617000050 . It is available from several outlets including link below. The kit includes items that need to be replaced at time of lubrication.
If you do not want to purchase the kit then use Bosch 1615430015 Hammer Grease 15oz
