PF CODE COMES UP WHAT IS LIKELY PROBLE

Found the below at http://lgknowledgebase.com
The PF error code indicates a power failure. This might occur while machine is working due to an external disturbance like a storm or power outage in the area. If the PF error code is displayed, turn off the power to the washer, unplug it for 10 seconds, and restart the wash cycle. If the error code continues to present after these steps have been taken, then the washer may require service.
hope this helps,
best of luck, have fun,
thanks,

Very noisy on spin cycle only

Hi, please describe the type of noise you are hearing. If it is a grinding type noise, it is likely to be the drum bearing.

A squealing sound from the drum when rotating

There are plastic nylon guides located on the front of the drum. Most likely they are wore down and the drum is rubbing against metal. You can get these online at appliance centers or at a local appliance center. All you need is the model number normally found inside the door frame.

I'm In the process of doing this myself. Now. Ours came off fairly easy. When You take the stator cover off (which can be tight) put the bolt back in the center and give it a few smacks w a hammer while suspending the tub. This should release the tub.

Is there someplace on this

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(this is pre-typed but number 2 should answer your question!)

Bad odours could be coming from a few places.
  1. the plumbing u-bend of the washer's room or
  2. the fact that there is 'foul' water being left in the drum.
  3. No washes at 90 degree+ !
I would suggest checking the plumbing u-bend for trouble first, then following the notes on checking and cleaning the drain filter and the drain pump to ensure there is nothing 'obnoxious' hanging around the two of them! Finally run the occasional 90+ wash, or use specialised lower temperature powder/fluid, to kill bacteria.
Here are my complete and general guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
John C

Washer won't spin. LE

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

'LE' stands for 'Lock Error' indicating that there is a problem either with the door lock or the door locked sensor requiring a service call, sorry ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Replaced the water pump motor,

Hi

Error code LE indicates that either the motor is not turning or has locked up for some reason. It can also be due to Hall sensor which monitors direction and speed of the motor. If the sensor is faulty then also this error appears. Motor lock can be caused by several things from a loose connector, to a bad motor. To make sure it's not a locked motor, try turning the drum with your hand. And, if there is any resistance while turning the drum or the drum doesn't move freely then the motor is locked and you'll need to get it replaced. If the motor seems to be fine then you would need to replace the Hall Sensor. To replace the hall sensor, take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Own a lg wm1832cw front load washer doesnt seem to

Hi

The smell usually comes when the washer is unable to drain water completely, you can run your washer at its hottest temperature setting with 1 cup of vinegar inside the unit. After this take off the bottom front panel and clean it completely, also clean the drain hose and drain pump filter, the smell should disappear after doing all this. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.
