I only have slow speed

Hello there, the Pride Jazzy 1113 wheel chair has two main assemblies: the seat and the power base. Typically, the seating system includes the armrests, the seatback, the seat base, and the controller. The power base assembly includes two drive wheels, two anti-tip wheels, two rear caster wheels, a body shroud, four frame assemblies (located under the body shroud), two battery boxes, and the electrical connectors.
The unit has only a handful of reasons for the unit to function at only slow speed. The first being the battery being low, when the battery is low there is a probability for the unit to function this way. Next option is the controller connector which is where the controller connects to the power base if the connection is not properly done then the unit could be on slow. Finally the controller power module if this is faulty then the motors will not receive enough power to make the unit go on speed.
Check all of these, the reason for your unit being on slow would be one of the above mentioned.
Hope this support has been helpful?

I have a Pride Jet

use a standard 7.5 volt dc fuse the speed lights will not blink when charging only the battery level lights will Make sure that your batteries are installed correctly... There should be two cables running to the fuse located at the rear of your chair one wire should be attached to the positive post of the front battery and the other wire to the negative post of the rear battery. The other cables should be color coded red for the positive post of the rear battery and the black to the negative post of the front battery. This will connect your batteries in series so you will be getting 24 + volts to the chair. The chair should then come on with the power switch on the joystick all the battery level lights should light up and the speed level lights will light up indicating the speed level you are set on. Once you have made sure that the batteries are wired correctly plug in the charger cord and you should get some deflection on the ammeter. When the ammeter reaches zero and kinda bounces up and down then you should be fully charged Hope this helps

Hi patriped,
Sometimes we lock our joystick by mistake.
Here is how to unlock it.
If this dosen't fix the problem you may have a bad joystick. Write me back for more info if thats the case.

To unlock the VSI:

All the lights are flashing

Jordan Have you checked to make sure that the motors aren't in freewheel? check both levers to make sure that they are in the drive position. Now Did you buy the chair or did Medicare?
If Medicare paid for the chair then they will pay for repairs. If you bought the chair it would be cheaper for you to contact a repair service to check out the problem After you have checked the levers the only other problem I know is that you could have a bad brake switch that keeps telling the controller that you are in freewheel. You can contact Repair Xpress @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 If Medicare bought your chair you can submit a claim for the second controller that you purchased and they should reimburse you 80% of the cost. Hope this info helps

All the lights are blinking

The speed display will flash whenever you have the charger plugged in. Either in the back or in the joystick. Hopefully you didn't have them both plugged in at the same time. If after you unplug the charger you still get the flashing speed lights then you have an inhibit problem with the chair. The inhibit function will keep you from being able to drive the chair while charging. This repair is beyond anything you can do and must be referred to a Pride dealer or Repair service Hope this helps you

How can i find out what kind of joy stick i have

The most direct answer to this question is to call Pride at 800-800-8586. If you give them the serial number they will be able to tell you the type of joystick you have with part number and pricing. I could help you by description, but it would take a long time to correspond. The guys in tech service can even help you to locate the place on the frame to find the SN. Hope this helps.

JAZZY 1113 AFTER CHARGING 10

Mary yep Even though the batteries are charging they are not holding the charge to provide enough power for the chair. Usually you have one battery that is weak and causing the problem but both batteries must be replaced. If Medicare paid for your chair then they will pay for 80% of the new batteries. You can contact the provider that sold you your chair and ask if they can replace your batteries. If not, you can contact Repair Express @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 to have tech come out and repair the chair for you and they will bill Medicare for the cost of repair. Hope this helps

I am wondering if anyone knows of a place that

First why can't your granddad get a chair thru Medicare? If he needs it his doctor should prescribe one and then he can get a good chair that will be maintained while he has it at little or no cost. Now until then you can contact Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 and ask if they have a tech in Granddads area the tech might even be willing to check it at little cost. The flashes indicate a problem and they can tell you the problem if you count the number of flashes between pauses ie 4 flashes pause 4 flashes. I hope this helps you

My father has i believe

Bobby check that the chair is not in freewheel first (you can push it and it will roll freely). If it is not in freewheel, try this--- turn the power off on the joystick then turn it back on and immediately push the jostick full forward until you hear a beep then immediately pull the joystick to the rear until you hear a beep then let it go to the center position. If the chair is in lockout it should take it out and the chair will operate fine. Now if that doesn't work I dunno. No seriously a continuous flash as you describe is the only indication of a lockout that I know of for the Pride chairs. If Medicare bought dad's chair then you can get a service company to fix it for him and they will bill Medicare for the cost of repair. Medicare will pay 80% of the costs and if Dad has a supplemental policy it will cover the 20%. Contact Repair Xpress @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 Hope this helps

No power does not do nothing, think fuse is blown

Your chair doesn't have fuses it has a circuit breaker located on the rear panel. If you have a voltmeter set it to 200 vdc andplug the leads into the 2 outter holes of the charger port located under the front of the joystick. Youi should read the battery voltage at 25-27 volts fully charged If you aren't reading any voltage check the batter connections coming out of the battery boxes and then check your connections in the battery boxes on each battery. If you are reading a good voltage at the joystick then the problem is probably the switch on the joystick or the joystick itself. Hope this helps

There is a 7.5 Amp ATO automotive fuse on the rear electronics tray that is probably burnt out. The ammeter will not work when this happens. Also, if you have a bad on-board charger that will inhibit movement of the chair. Unplug the on-board charger and see if you get it to move. Hope this helps.

The green "battery fully charged"

It sounds like the batteries have gone bad and need to be replaced. Has your chair been sitting unused for a while?

The batteries contain a gel that needs to have current run through it on a regular basis (at least 8 hours once a week) or it will oxidize and solidify. If you attach the charger, what will most likely happen is the green light will either stay green or go to green after a very short time. When you turn on the power chair, nothing happens. The charger will indicate the batteries are full, but instead of being full of power, they are full of crud. Your warranty will most likely not cover replacement as this is due to customer neglect, but your insurance may still cover the replacement batteries if you can wait for the process to go through. Otherwise, you will need to replace the batteries on your own, check your Owner's Manual for the correct type which can most likely be found at Batteries Plus or Interstate Battery. Good luck!

It will not move the light s are flashing and it

You can visit this website to find answers on what the flashing trouble indicator lights mean: http://www.pgdt.com/scenter/diagnostics/diagvsi.html
Locate the page that has the controller used on your power chair/scooter and count how many lights are flashing to diagnose the trouble. Make sure that your manual brake/freewheel lever is in the "drive"position. If your insurance purchased the power chair for you, they may also cover the repairs; contact them for information.
Good luck!
