Forgotten cipher lock combo

First, you need to have access to both sides of the lock (door must be open). If you are technically able, you can disassemble the lock, remove the combination unit and take the cover off of it. From there you can determine the combination and then re-assemble. The instructions for this can be found online. If you are not technically able, you should not attempt this and bring the lock to a locksmith or get a new one.

Go to your nearest locksmith and have him make you a key to the code, "DF59". That's the key you need.

When i turn the knob without entering the combo,

"If your lock is opening on every turn of the knob or lever, except upon entering a code, this may be a ZERO CODE. Before attempting to remove the lock from the door, refer to the troubleshooting procedures outlined at bottom of this document for a zero code symptom/solutionSolution: Follow the procedure for changing a combination except omit step 3 (do not enterthe existing combination)."I excerpted the above from the full instructions on how to change the code. If you don't have them, got to this link:http://www.kaba-ilco.com/access_control/literature/literature_grid_mechanical_pushbutton_locks.aspx?id=13and go across from L1000 to the last column, "Tips".When you hover your mouse over PDF, two choices will appear; left click on the upper one, "Changing the code/..." to download it.The download will be a PDF file format. If you are unable to open it, you will need to download and install Adobe Reader on your computer. There is a link (Get Adobe Reader) at the top right of the literature grid. When you do get the download open, you will have the stepwise procedure and illustrations necessary-but don't forget to omit Step 3, if you believe that you have the ZERO code problem!Good luck--and please provide feedback if this helps!
