Hi,
For copping the ecgs to your computer you need a SD card reader.
Please follow these instructions to copy data from the SD memory card to a PC.
1. Remove the SD card from the machine after switching off it.
2. Make sure the PC is equipped with an SD memory card port or connect a commercially available SD memory card reader/writer to your PC.
3. Create a new folder on your PC where you want to save a copy of the ECG data.
4. Insert the SD memory card in the card reader and browse to the SD memory card data
5. Select all files and copy them in the folder you have created earlier (step 2).
6. When copying is finished, remove the SD memory card.
For analysis ECGs that are copied to your PC, you need PC analysis software (providing databasing and printing tools). Normally the software CD comes with the machine. if you dont have the same you have to contact the manufacturer. Only through that software you will be able to read the ECGs in your pc.

Omron Portable Ecg Ekg accuracy problem
Hello Josh. You will need a EKG simulator. I suggest you contact your local community (junior) college electronics class or a local Bio Medical services in your local hospital. When locating one kindly walk in and ask very nicely with the portable in hand if you my perform a operational test for you on benefit.
EKG Problem
EKGs provide useful data and can help detect various problems related to heart function. One basic determination that can be made with an EKG is the heart rate, which can be determined by measuring the distance between peaks. Diagnosis of certain medical problems is also possible. For example, in patients with high blood pressure, the amplitude of the QRS complex is significantly increased. The balance of certain chemicals in the body can also be detected by an EKG, since the amplitude of the signals is related to the levels of chemicals in the body. Damage in the heart can also be observed by a deformation in the Q wave. The most useful characteristic of the EKG is its ability to detect and describe arrhythmias, or abnormal heartbeats. EKG machines known as Holter monitors are for these detections. Finally, EKGs can be used to observe obstructions in the arteries. This is typically done by looking for a depressed segment between the S and T waves.
What do they mean by low heart rate?
The normal heart rate is really an average heart rate, around 80 beats per minute. Many things can make it go faster or slower, including activity, medication, drugs, exposure to insectisides or mushrooms and others. A slow heart rate is called bradycardia, usually around 60 beats per minute. Sometimes the electrical nodes in the heart which help to make the heart start a new beat quit or work incorectly. In these cases medication or a pacemaker are required. I hope this answers your question.
