I need the instruction manual for a PD600 black & decker pivot plus. The black & decker website sells them but when entering the model says none found...weird

Go to the Dewalt service website at http://servicenet.dewalt.com, put your model number in the parts search box and you'll be presented with two versions of your tool. Select one and you'll be taken to a page where you can view or download the manual, parts breakdown, or order parts. There are only four replaceable parts for your tool.

It's in the **** end. You must unscrew all the black screws in the lower handle. Remove the black heel. Then unplug the Red wire. Carefully pull out the battery pack. Then unplug the black wire

Chuck is stuck , can't

Could be a dying battery making it not be able to open itself cuz theres not enough juice, try charging the battery and do it or get some wd-40 and spray it around the chuck and let it drip over the bit into it.

Pivot Plus. Cannot remove screwdriver

use soe WD40 and a pair of pliers, i take it that it has been left in it for a while. put it in the lock position when you are trying to get it out. if you do not have wd 40 then use some light oil, it is probably rusted in position.
cheers

THE BIT DOESNT STAY IN PLACE

Could be 2 problems, first are you using the right type of bit to lock in this tool and second the ball that locks into the detent of the bit might be stuck or the ring holding it in has moved. Give me a brand and model number and I will find a breakdown for this and see if I can give you more help

Battery Wont Charge Up. \r\nTo Replace Battery

It could be a bad battery or charger. I bought a new drill with 2 batteries on sale for $10 more than one new battery. So I would just buy a new one, keep the old one around in case the new driver quits. Or if you use it allot, upgrade to a better brand. It's a disposable world we live in.

These drills have hexagonal tool holders, and does not have an adjustable chuck like larger drills do. However, I recommend drill bits with hexagonal bases whicha are readily available at any tool store these days.
