LG LRFD22850ST French Door 22.4 Cu. Ft. Refrigerator w/ Multi-Air Flow & Digital Read Out Temperatur... Questions & Answers
Freezer working fine but fridge isn't
Either the damper that the air flows up through is closed or the return air flow vents are blocked with clear ice.
Do you feel the air come out all the way at the top of the duct assembly when the freezer door is opened (but it then stops when the door is closed)?
If so, then it sounds like your return air flow vents are clogged. These are located to the left and right of the duct assembly in the rear/bottom of the refrigerator section. Sometimes you may have to slowly pour hot water into these vents to get the clear ice to thaw. The water should go down into the freezer section behind the evaporator and then out the drain in the back.
If you do not get the air to flow out the top of the duct assembly then the damper is staying shut. This could be either a bad damper in the duct assembly or the main board my not be sending voltage to the damper. Hope this helps.

Clean drain under freezer coils.
NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it can
be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
Check cold control (thats where you turn it colder)

From what you described the defrost drain trough is frozen up. The drain tube or the opening in the drain trough is stopped up with some sort of debris and is frozen over.
Each time the freezer goes into a defrost cycle it melts the ice on the coils and the water has no place to go. The result is that water will leak into the freezer compartment, collect on the floor of the freezer and freeze solid.

Remove power and wait for 3 minutes. And restart. or If any sensor or any plug in PCB board. Remove and reset it. Now try by restarting. Some times it will be helpful. If not problem with board. Replace it.
Water dispenser just stopped working.
This is probably a service call issue. The lines could be bad. The dispenser could be bad. You will be playing :poke and hope" and buying parts you don't need. The system is complicated and needs to be diagnosed by an authorized tech.

The freezer fan is a known problem - I just had mine replaced. I was told that there is a newer motor part that has a better sealed bearing. I paid approx $80 part + labor.
Re: the ER FF - that is directly related to the freezer fan. I also had the ice maker circuit board replaced as part of the LG recall and they also fixed things (w/o me asking) like seals, door latches, light relay switch (reports of fires) and it seems like it's working. good luck.
Freezer frost buildup; fan constantly running; water filter
Just had mine repaired. Tech told me that the tempearature settings on the display panel are not EXACT science. The fridge is cooled by blowing air from the freezer to the fridge and when the sensor in fridge reached approx desired temperature, the damper is closed.
The noise you hear periodically (water dripping) is the heating rod melting the defroster (hence frost freeze), which unfortunately sometimes spills into the blower motor to fridge, causing frozen motor, causing the infamous ER FF error code and fridge failure.
I reluctantly had LG to do the energy saver fix (recall) and it replace everything that the internet users are complaining about.

The unit has an automatic defrost system that defrosts the fridge automatically when frost develops or when certain conditions are met.
- Defrosting starts when the compressor running time reaches 4 hours after a power outage or after the unit is turned on for the first time.
- Defrosting starts each time the compressor running time reaches 7 hours.
- Defrosting stops if the sensor temperature reaches 46.4°F(8°C) or more. If the sensor doesn’t reach 46.4°F(8°C) in
2 hours, the defrost mode is malfunctioning.
- Defrosting will not function if its sensor is defective or wires are cut or short circuited.
If your unit defrosts frequently even when the conditions above are not met, you have a malfunctioning sensor. You may have to ask the help of a qualified technician to disassemble and:
- Check the connections of the sensor to the control board.
- Inspect the wires for short or cut wire.
- Push the reset button on the main board.
- Replace the sensor control assembly.
