Our LG LSXS26366S is having issues making ice. The lever that signals to make more or less ice, freezes at the bottom where it comes down.

I would try defrosting the fridge and then trying different temperature settings. It could be that the water isn't freezing early enough and water drips down onto the lever.

Leak in Lg LMX25988: water leaks when using cold water or making ice. Leak comes from the top of the rear panel where the plastic water line gets into the fridge. Not where my copper pipe joins it.

Sounds like a pin hole in the plastic line. Try removing the line with the water turned off check the inlet hose.

How to remove evaporator panel in freezer-fan motor faulty LG refrigerator GR-559ftd? Has x2 screws+ light cover, once removed still held tight, forceful pulling does not release it..thanks

That model number looks more like an item number. LG usually has a rather long model number.. The panels are typically held in by snap clips and can be tough to release! I look for any hole to get a small hook into and start pulling! It will be tough and will seem like it is gonna break but I haven't done any damage removing one yet. It is uncommon for the fan motors to fail. They have an issue with interior moisture that will cause the fan to stop after it is built up with frost but will work once thawed. Please look at the model sticker inside the unit and provide that number for further assistance.

LG FX28977ST the freezer only gets down to 32 degrees and the refrigerator only gets down to 43 degrees. It seemed to work fine until two days ago when it quit making ice and the ice cream got soft.

First, I'm not a LG Technician. Call your LG vendor for service. *** the following is for information only. *** * Move food items to another refrigerator. * Do a complete DEFROST of the box. (unplug it.) Expect it to take 4 or more hours. You must wait till all water stops dripping out of the fridge. Keep checking the lower defrost drip tray at bottom of fridge. Dump out water from tray as needed. DO NOT you a hair drier or any other heat source! The heat will warp the plastic. Use a small fan to gently blow into the freezer section. * DO NOT use an ice pick or sharp object to remove ice! Just let everything melt. (The problem of ice is inside the coils) * Plug in Fridge but don't put any food in. Set dial temperature to the Mid range setting. Set to freezer venting to normal. Set the refrigerator to mid range. Let it cool down to 0 - 10 degrees and start making ice (in ice maker) If it does not cool down to at least 10 degrees F then call for service. Suspect bad thermostat, Blocked condenser coils, Bad pump, etc. Qualified service tech required to repair. * Cooling okay? Reload food but don't stuff it in. Leave space between the walls to allow cold air to flow around foods. It will take a day or so to cool down food properly. Note: I may take longer if this fridge is near a heat source like a Hot water heater, Oven, Range, Steam radiator, etc. * If your still icing up in 2-3 weeks. Then check if the coils are icing up. Defrost is not working. This needs to be checked by a tech. Have him perform annual maintenance. * Check door seals. Kids leaving the door open? High humidity? * Note how everyone uses the fridge; are they putting hot food in it? Open hot steaming food adds heat and humidity to fridge. Hot food with thaw out other frozen food and build up frost. * Final, Have a Tech check your fridge. Have them perform maintenance and replace worn items as needed. Aloha, ukeboy57

Refrigerator cool but not cold Hi. I have an LG LMX 28987ST french door dual bottom basket freezer refrigerator. Im getting 50 in fridge 32 in freezer. Compressor running ( changed start relay and overload), condenser coils are clean, condenser fan running, evaporator fan running, evaporator coils not iced over, changed freezer thermistor. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you have a sealed system leak. If youre getting 0 frost or only at the entering the freezer area with an ice ball, then, i hope you bought a warranty. Check user manual for potential sealed system warranties. If your fridge has a dual evaporator system, the 3 way valve could be stuck or have a restriction in it at well. Not likely though, I would recommend replacing both lowside if the fridge seems like it should be cooling with all the doors shut and good seals. I rarely would call out such an expensive repair, but Im not there physically seeing it, so use best judgement.

My LG GC-L247SLUV has stuck/ clogged ice and can't get either ice or crushed ice. Please help

A common cause for a clog is frozen water in the line. There is also a possibility that the water filter for the ice maker is clogged.

Possible Fix: Locate and replace the water filter. Filters for icemakers are typically located inside the refrigerator (to keep them from freezing)
