Question edited for clarity. This TH207 seems to be an unknown model. They all have a battery compartment apart from one exception. There is a Taylor Scale that supposedly has a lifetime battery, and is non replaceable. More model scales just have a small round disc with a screw and take a small CR2032 button battery. I have the same issue. No reaction on screen, no light, letters, numbers, nothing at all.

I’ve checked the feet and all attached ok. Doesn’t seem anyway to check being them without removing the back entirely (no doubt invalidating any guarantee of getting it fixed/replaced).
