What does E1 error code mean

Try lifting your Outlet pipe to at least 3/4 the hight of the machine. It needs some water to stay in the pipe for the machine to opperate.

LG DISHWASHER WORKS BUT VERY NOISY MODLE:LD-2040WH

The main water pump on this model does not last long. The water seal between pump and motor starts to leak that result in the adjacent motor bearing corroding and eventually failing, resulting in excessive noise. Later the water leak becomes so bad that it triggers the "E I" water leakage display and prevents it from completing the program. The pump and motor is sold as one unit and the whole unit must be replaced. I have tried to replace the faulty bearing and repacked the rubber seal with silicon grease but with no success. If anyone have repaired the water seal successfully please let us know.

Error code E1 on LG dishwasher

I have this sometimes where E1 is reported and the pump remains on. The following voodoo has worked for me.

1) Make sure there is not a real drain problem.
2) Cancel any cycle or turn the power button off then on.
3) Run a rinse cycle (15 minutes).
4) If pump continues to run, turn off the power to the dishwasher, let stand for a minute, then repeat steps 2-3. If still not working, leave power off over night and leave the door open then try again.

In each iteration, it is important to curse your LG product and/or threaten it with replacement.

I get a te code all the time and a he code from

from Lg this is the meaning of the codes.
  • The heater circuit has failed if "HE" is displayed. Discontinue use and contact a service technician. The dishwasher requires servicing.

TE
  • "TE" means the thermistor has failed or the temperature of the water entering the dishwasher is over 194 degrees Fahrenheit. Turn the temperature down on the hot water heater in the home. If the error code reappears, replace the thermistor.By the sound of this your heating system is malfunctioning and needs service. If you need more on this let me know, but it is either your temperature sensor or your heating element or control board.

Re LG Model LD-14T1 dishwasher.

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

I understand by reading your post which indicates it is a LG dishwasher you appear to have a concern with...in your words,

"starts pumping out whether door is open or closed, and stops after 5 cycles on and off, when beeper starts, and error EO comes up"

however if you could provide the complete model number in the morning (I'm calling it quits for the night now and the number provided -LD14T1- is incorrect) I'd be better equipped and most certainly able to help without generalizing. I don't know what has been suggested to you to this point if anything.

Hopefully you can appreciate there are many possiblilities even within the LG brand of machine. I can tell you the LG don't have level sensors. but rather water flow meter's and the level is measure by the flow rate through the PCB.

I'll watch for your reply and try and help going forward. Thank you.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

LG dishwasher LD-14AW2 starts up

Hi Jeff - am not too savvy with LG - am a Electrolux/Miele serviceman is it possible to gain access to the drain pump from inside the unit? I think it does sound like there is a restriction somewhere perhaps the pumps not running freely.

To check you pour water inside , take the drain hose , operate machine to see how good the flow of the drain is, rule of thumb if you cover the outlet no flow then the problem.

hope this is a start..

We have got the machine

The causes are usually poorly coated rack combined with rough usage (coating pierced
by cutlery, broken stemware, etc., combined with hard (mineral-laden) water, which
corrodes the steel of the rack quickly.
Luckily, the upper rack is replaceable, so check:

My LG dishwasher is stopping

Hi rebeccasolom,

OE means "Outlet Error"

The drain pump is either clogged or the outlet hose is kinked.
- Inspect the Drainage hose at the back for kinks.
- Open the unit, and at the bottom sump check the small drain pump area for any foreign object that may be obstructing it.

Kind Regards :-)

If you found this solution helpful, please rate it.

Dish washer has water in

Hi

Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller.

Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat.

Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.
