My filter is leaking (dripping) through the outlet

If you have not already done so, use teflon tape on the threads for the outlet port. This may solve your problem. Good luck!

I HAVE A MAGNUM FORCE PUMP. iT WAS RUNNING THIS

It could be the capacitor again, but most likely if it stopped while running, its not that, unless you had a brief power failure. The motor may have a built in thermal overload which turned the pump off. If it only humms then it could either be locked up by something in the impller, or could be the bearings in the motor have failed. If the motor doesn't smell "burnt" then you might stand a change to disassemble the pump. Disassemble the motor and replace bearings. Replace the mechanical seal while you have it apart. OR you could buy a new motor, as it is 10 years old.

No suction for pool vac

If you are not getting any suction to the vacuum, but the pump is working fine the rest of the time, start by checking all of your connections that conncets the cleaner to the filter and pump. Make sure there are no cracks, lose hoses, etc. Then, check for the following common problems with your pump that might cause low pressure in pool pumps:

1) Pump not primed

2) Leakage of air into suction system

3) Impeller clogged

4) Valve in suction or discharge line partly closed; Suction or discharge

line partly plugged or too small.

5) Plugged basket in skimmer or hair in lint strainer

6) Dirty filter.

You should be able to remove the diffuser and then the impeller to gain access to the shaft seal on these pool pumps. Your users manual should have a diagram.

I have a mt2000-h magnum

You have two windings if it is two speed. What you need is a switch
before your wires come into the motor you need to take one of the leads and run it through a high low switch. This will simply take one of your 110v lines and make it go to high and low speed on the motor.
Green will go to ground, one 110v line will go to common and the other goes to the switch. It comes out as two leads. One will hook up to the low speed terminal and the other will hook to the high speed terminal in the back of the motor.

How to dismantle a jacuzzi magnum pool filter pump

When you go to loosten the lock ring you will need to find the lock tab that will keep it from comming off. This tab I think will pull out but it may push in and this will free the ring to turn. Once this is off if the motor runs turn it on for a second and let it push the front and back half apart. If it won't run you can use a flush bag to pressure it off. In worst case you can pry the halvs apart with a big screwdriver. If you do this be careful not to hurt the case of the pump it is just plastic.
When the pump is opener you remove the difusser and look inside the impeller. If you have a screw in the center of the impeller it will be a left hand thread so to remove you will turn it clockwise. Now just unscrew the impeller turning it counter clockwise and take the rear plate off the motor by removing the four bolts on the back. Good luck.

How do you get the impella of a jacuzzi lr

looking at he face of the impeller turn counter clockwise, with a large set of CHANNELLOCK 20" Pliers Channel Lock Model 480 cost about $70.00 there is a notch on the back of the motor shaft for ether a 1/2 or 7/16 open end wrench to fit in to hold the rotor from turning. warning ! these pumps are hard to find parts for so you want to have the right tool so you don't break anything. your best bet is to bring it to your local pool pump motor repair guy and have him do it, if its just the seal you are trying to replace it should be a $20 job
if'n i was any help vote ... thanks ..jay .. and prime the pump after a repair !

Motor removal on a Jacuzzi magnum force pump.

The impeller is threaded onto the end of the motor shaft and the housing (pump body) is attached to the motor with the same bolts that hold the rear cover on the motor they run all the way through on most pumps.

Pump will not fully prime, runs at half volume

it may be that you have a obstruction in the suction line. if you have a valve turn it so it pulls from main drain and skimmer at the same time 50%-50%

Motor runs for 10 seconds and shuts off

I believe it is your starting capacitor, It is a long round thing usually black that has two wires, this is what makes it kick on. just us rubber handled pliars when disconnecting the other one. because it holds electricity. You can get one at a hardware or pool supply, usually 10.00 or so...I hope this helps

I have a jacuzzi magnum 1.5 HP pump. It turns on,

Your motor is going bad if it get's that hot. It is kicking off when it get's hot enough to the heat switch in the back of the motor. This resets it self and the motor probally comes on again after a few minutes. The wireing in the motor has a small short that will get worse soon enough and may even catch fire if the conditions are right. So you should get a new one and replace your seal kit and "O" rings at the same time. Odds are a small water leak got this started. Good luck

I have a Jacuzzi Magnum pool pump powered by an AO

If the points in the timer are corroded the timer will run but will not put power to pump. If you have a volt meter you can ck this on the load side of the clock. If no power you just need to replace the clock. get all the info off the clock as you want the same brand for easy replacement but most brands have a virety of clocks that look the same and you want to be sure to get the right one. Mind wich wires are line and load since position changes from some old clocks to some of the newer ones. Be sure you shut the power off at the breaker before you start to replace anything.

Pump does not turn on except for a humming sound and shuts off jumping the electric breaker

This could be anything from a stuck impeller to bad windings in motor. If you open the pump at the lock ring and remove the difusser from the impeller you can see if you can spin the impeller, If it won't move is it something holding the impeller up remove it. If notit is probally a bad bearing and you should replace the motor. If the Impeller turns try turning it on and caerfully try to spin before it kicks the breaker. If it is sort of stuck and does not want to turn the motor is bad and needs to be replaced. If it spins and won't start same thing, If it spins and starts it is probally a start capicator. Shut the power off at the breaker remove the back of the motor the capacitor will be a small black or silver cylinder with 2 or 3 wires clipped to it. Remove this and take it to a motor shop and get an exact duplicate. and that should fix it. When putting back together be sure to lube all "O"rings and refill with water. Hope this helps.

How does the impeller come off of the motor shaft

It unscrews. If it has a lock screw in the center that is left handed so it unscrews in a clockwise direction. Then the impeller unscrews in a counter clockwise direction. Usually needing a good sharp rap to get it started. I usually use a screwdriver held sideways in the impeller and I hit it straight down with a cresent wrench. This will usually start it spimming. if that dosen't work you will have hold the back of the motor shaft and break it free by turning it with water pump pliers or the like.
