My brother in law is moving so he gave us his spa,

Could be the bearings are going bad. Nothing comes for free. That's pretty cheap for a dream Maker though.

THE ERROR CODE READS SN.

Did you replace both temp sensors or just one? Did you make sure that the new sensors are the same model? If you did replace both sensors with the correct ones, the main board is bad and will have to be repaired or replaced. The actual manufacturer of your controller can provide limited technical support for someone who has the ability to use a multi-meter and test a few components at the spa over the phone.

Gfi turns off and motor

I'd try a different brand Ground Fault Inerrupter in the Circuit Breaker Box, if that's where it's located.

Or, find the source of the ground fault and correct if necessary.

There is a leak on my 4 person Dream Maker hot tub

  • I used to teach plumbing.
  • I honestly have not worked on This unit.
  • I would like to SUGGEST using some Plumbers Tape--not puddy to start with. This might fix it w/o a new gasket.
  • If That Does not fix it, go to your Local Plumers supply store (I would NOT go to home depot or lowes; I would go to the old fashioned shop) and get the gasket for the pump, as you are pondering about.

GFI plug is heating up

unless plug is bad u will need to check the motor or heater one of them is pulling high amps heating up plug--oil motor may help--but will need to check the amperage on the motor and or if heater is cause if no amp probe --when system is cooled plug in and turn down heat setting let motor for a while if plug heats up or motor goes off on over heat know problem is with motor or plug-if no change now add heater if plug gets hot and turns off when heater is applied know heater is problem

My hot tub had a OH where the temp usually is,

This is probally your temp sensor. Where it is on your system is hard to say. If you have a book on the system it will be in there.

I am experiencing a small problem. My pump motor

Most likely you received the Hi temp signal, because you had no flow due to the pump stopping. You could have a problem with the control system for the pump motor, or the motor could be having problems. If this motor has a capacitor, it could be failing causing the motor not to start. The bearings could be going bad, and that's keeping it from starting.

Plugged in our EZ Spa for first time - panel shows 'SN'

Open your drain for a moment till you get water or force water into the skimmer. If you have an air lock in the pipes this will stop the spa from working.

Sensor

Which sensor??? There are at least 2 sensors on your hot tub.

You wont find a manual telling you how to change the sensor (at least not from the manufacturers).

Easy spa round - dream maker - overheat sensor is

Assuming that you've got adequate water flow, clean/new filter and the pump works as it should; Try a new sensor. They can and do sometimes fail and the sensor is much cheaper than the PCB. ;)

Do you have the operating instructions?

It may be that your topside controls are locked. Check your instruction manual, it should hopefully tell you how to unlock the controls.

I have a leak in my Dreamaker Eclipse hot tub.

Thats the problem with Dreammaker tubs, access can be a pain and theres no easy way of getting to the pipes.

I would usually gain acces from the underside which ensures that any holes that need to be made to gain access wont be visible in the future.

Good luck locating the leak.

Kind Regards,
Ian.

My tub trips out upon power up was working ok last

I don't know how you have it wired, but it is possible that the heater is on at the same time the pump starts and trips. The starter windings in the motor need all of 15 or more amps to start, that is why the lights dim when the fridge starts up. Anyway, if the heater is on the same line, same breaker, it needs to be bigger, and in 110 volt mode , you can't go any bigger than 20, but in 220 volt mode, you can go to 60 amp. that would be 30 amps each, potentially. depending on the voltage of each. Last time it worked ok because it wasn't crossing the line with a start up motor and water heater working at the same time. Now that you are totally confused. Check the breaker, see if there are 2. one for the heater, one for the motor. Hope this helps.
