How do you replace a flow switch in a spa, or hot tub

turn off the power to the spa. remove the cabinet under the topside remote to expose the equipment compartment. You should see the flow switch, it's usually a threaded 3/4" plug with a single grey wire coming out of it. Most of them are threaded into a tee or a special transparent fitting. If the water level in the spa is above the flow switch, you may have to drain the spa down unless you're very fast about getting the new switch in. Unthread the old switch and thread the new one in. Follow the wire on the old one to the spa pack. You'll have to remove the screws on the cover to expose the circuit board. Follow that wire into the spa pack to see where on the circuit board that it is plugged in. It may be good to run the new wire to have in place as soon as you unplug the old one you can install the new one with no question as to where it plugs in.

Reinstall the cover on the spa-pack and turn the main power back on. Make sure that the arrows on the new flow switch are facing the correct direction (direction of flow). Once you have the spa on and it starts back up, run everything to check for leaks and proper operation. If the flow switch was the only problem, all your faults should be cleared and you should be in good shape. If there are no leaks, you can reinstall the cabinet panel.

The new switch should already have teflon tape on the threads, if not, use teflon tape, apply the tape in the direction as if you were threading a nut onto the threads. You only need a few wraps of teflon tape, too much can crack the fitting you threat the new flow switch in to.

We have a dreammaker spa, how do we drain it? the

The Fantasy has a drain located in the toekick of the spa. You have to first remove the drain cap, attach a hose if you wish, spin the outer black ring counter clockwise to start the water flow, then pull the outer ring out away from the tub to increase the drain to full flow.
I understand that a screw driver is often needed to pull the outer ring out to achieve full flow. Therefore, I suggest another method. Take a garden hose and place it in front of the jet while the spa jets are on. This will force water flow thru the hose and prime the hose. Once you see water running from the other end of the hose, drop the hose in front of the spa jet into the footwell and as long as the loose end is lower than the end in the footwell, a siphon will drain the spa as fast as the spa drain will. Remember to turn off electric to the spa once you have established a siphon. You may have to bucket the last bit of water in the footwell. Goodluck.

My spa is at 89 and its set for 104 and the pump will no cut on whats the problem

Are you saying that it stops at 89°? It will not go any higher, even though you have the set temperature at 104°? If that is what you are stating, then you probably have a bad temperature sensor.

My spa is at 89 and its set for 104 and the pump will not cut on what is the problem

You may be in economy mode. Economy only heats the water during a programmed filter cycle. You want it to be in standard mode which turns on the hot tub once the water is 2 degrees below the desired temperature. There should be a mode or program button on your topside. One some systems you'll have to hit prog/mode button then the temp up button to change the mode. There is also a sleep mode. Never used it not sure what it's for.

Sparform hot tub blower won't turn off

When an appliance will not turn off, no matter what you press on the control panel, you have either a non responding (dead button) topside control panel, or your topside panel did receive the message to turn it off and the circuit board is not responding.
  • If you have some kind of indicator light when you press your Jet/pump button, if the topside panel is operational and does actually receive your request to either turn on or off an appliance, an indicator will appear - either a light or icon.
    • If one does appear when button pressed, then dis-appears when pressed, that means your panel is good - as it is responding to the pressing of the associated button.
      • Bad circuit board
    • If nothing appears when you press the button, no lights or icons - indication of topside receiving your request, then you you have a dead button.
      • Bad Topside Control Panel

GFCI in primary power cord keeps going off turning off the hot tub.

This could be a number of things. First make sure your water flow is not impeded. Clean your filters or replace them check that there is no debris in the intakes or returns. There are fuses for each item from your power pack, you can unplug everything, lights, blower, pumps etc.. plug them in one at a time and when the GFCI trips that is the fuse you need to replace. Lastly, you could have a siezed motor or a bad GFCI for this you may want to call out a professional hot tub service company in your area.

Image739 hot tub turn power on and error code 5n comes on panel board what is code 5n and where is reset button

OK, 5n is meant to say SN meaning sensor. This is refering to your temperature sensor, and means that the computer thinks that the sensor has failed.Check to see that it is plugged into the board completely, then verify that it is not chewed up by a mouse or rat. Both of these are the most often seen problems.Beyond that feel free to email me if you still need [email protected]

Dream maker ez spa has power but jets won't turn on. Fuse is fine and unit is getting power

Thanks for the question! It could be several different issues. First, It's possible the topside jet button is malfunctioning and may need to be replaced. Is there any type of error message flashing on the topside display? Second, The pump may be bad, If it's a 2 speed pump it's possible to still circulate the water and maintain temp while the pump is malfunctioning. Depending on your level of "do it yourselfness" you may attempt to troubleshoot and repair it on your own. Checking for an error code on your topside is the best 1st step to take. I wish I could be of more assistance however, without being able to inspect it myself those are the best suggestions I can muster. Good luck & I hope I was able to provide at least some assistance. =)

6 month old jacuzzi hot tub has started leaking intermittently , any help here to solve this problem

if its all wet, dry it out with a fan and then start your search, if it's under a pump, it is a shaft seal, a fairly cheap fix, i charge 20 to do it and I do some preventive measures to the pump so it can be serviced in the future without damage (smart). but it also might be a loose jet nut, they can be tricky to get at, but if carefully done can be tightened with a dull screwdriver and a hammer tapping on the edge of the nut. Hope this gets ya running again. ask if you need more help, and don't forget to vote if i was of help

Hot ub heats up then heater stops working i think when i turn on the jets

your heater works when it has to with or without jets on. you won't be able to feel the temp difference on your skin because it has a very small heater coil versus 210 gallons of water. As long as the spa maintains the set temp, it's working fine. maybe your set program for the spa isn't set to your needs. check your manuel for setup and make sure your not in vacation mode, thst will drop the water temp by 20 degrees.

Tubes are leaking inside the shell. How the heck

Yes, you must remove the insulation to track and fix the leak. Removal of the insulation is recommended to start at the point where you think the leak is occuring, but will probably move to a different area. Leaks in tubs like yours with heavy insulation, usually travel inside of the insulation making them appear to be leaking in one area, but actually leaking in an area higher up the piping.
