Ingersoll Rand 231C Ks 1/2" Super Duty Air Impact Wrench Kit With Flip Socket Set And Bit Driver Set - Page 4 Questions & Answers
Frequent alarms "Control power loss" Often
Control power loss is often caused by high airend temp or a faulty High Air Temp. switch(HAT Switch). I suspect the HAT switch is bad and opening prematurely because the att. temp. probe located next to the Hat switch is set to give a temp alarm and shut down the compressor at 228 degrees. The hat switch is located in the end of the airend and should have a 1/2 " flex conduit attached to it. When this switch opens it cuts control power. Thus the controller issues a control power loss. This switch is set to open at 245 degrees. If faulty it may open at 150, 180, 200. Anything but what it is set at. You can check this switch with a meter. When the unit trips simply test for 110 volts at the switch or in the control panel if familiar with wiring . please be very careful while in any electrical panel.. 110 volts in, 110 volts out. NO 110 volts out or on one leg of the switch means its bad and should be replaced. After it cools for a while the compressor will run again.
How to reverse the ingersoll rand model no. 8055 impactool mod.c
To reverse the IR model # 8055 , the end opposite of the front-nose , there's an end-cap which can be rotated clockwise/counter-clockwise till it stops ,then afterwards pull trigger switch to energize the tool . This will enable you to change direction of rotation ( all-ways make sure the motor is at complete rest before changing rotation & pulling the trigger back .. Chris
