David ,I will need more info like type of intellisys controller. IR actually has at least 4 intellisys controller. Need to know what controller you have. Model and serial #, HP, voltage, Ep,XF,HP, Y-delta start or DOL start. pressure rating from ID tag. Some info can be obtained from the metal tag affixed to one end or in the electrical compartment (ID tag)

FIRST AND FOREMOST IS YOUR P.S.I. AT THE TOOL ENOUGH TO PUSH IT? I WOULD IMAGINE 150 P.S.I. + IS WHAT YOU WILL NEED. IF YOU ARE GETTING PROPER PRESSURE (CHECK WITH AUTO COMPRESSION TESTER) THEN LISTEN WHERE AIR IS ESCAPING, AND MORE THAN LIKELY THAT COMPONENT AND/OR SEAL HAS FAILED. THERE ARE NOT A LOT OF MOVING PARTS IN MOST AIR TOOLS

check one of the pressure tranducers

check control fuses

it sounds like the pressure switch needs replacing as this unloads the machine from the check valve up to the heads if pressure present when trying to restart it will cause it to trip when machine stops should get air leaking from under pressure switch for 1-2 seconds then it will stop

this is cause the oil thickens when it is cold theefore placing extra load on the motor

if it is reciprocating use sae2100 rotary screw use sae2046

sounds like head gasket has blown allowing pressure form hihg pressure cylinder to leak back across to the low pressure side

yes. when one of the phase is out, the other two power module is usually overloaded and burnt. swap it.

Are the pulley's that are on it the ones from the dealer, or have they been changed. If they are the original pulley's the problem could be a loose wire, bad overload, bad bearing/connecting rods in the pump causing motor to pull more amps.

One of the valves is broken. need to replace valves.
