Toro Blowers Rake and Vac - Electric Blower/Vac - 51573 - Page 3 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Can't start my Toro CCCR 2000 Snow blower.
You may have had no Fuel in the tank, But there may have been residual fuel left in the carburetor. It will need to be cleaned out.
Hope you get it done before the first snow fall.
Good Day.

Same symptoms
There is a safety switch to make sure you can not power the unit while it is apart. Sometimes this switch will break when you open the unit. Bottom line most manufactures if electric tools and appliances do not want tou screwing with their stuff.

#51574 Toro Rake&Vac--Lost manual
You should have another door that goes in front of the impeller (blade) which doesn't have a vacuum attachment. You should first detach the vacuum door from the bottom, put on the blower tube, and install the other door that came with the blower. Hope that helps.

Fuel lines dry and brittle how to replace on
take one of the lines to a hardware store and see if they have the proper size. You should be able to change them easily. Just remember to clamp the ends to prevent gas from leaking out.

Yard machine snow thower no spark
Remove the recoil cover and check the coil for proper gap (use a buisines card between tne coil and the magnets on the flywheel it should be snug but not to snug you cant get the card in between) if that is to tight you will have to adjust it, if it is ok than disconnect the ground wire and check for spark, if still no spark than your coil is no good, if you have spark than check the ground wire for a bare spot cause it is grounding out some where. also check the throttle shut off wire that it is not contacting metal when throttle is up and if it has a key that the wire there isn't cotacting metal also. Please let me know how you make out and if we have to check further.

Engine keeps flooding out
Recommend completely draining the fuel system. Tank, lines, and carb. Make sure everything is clean and dry. Clean or replace fuel filter. Always try to store it with a full tank of fuel. It is common to get condensation when the weather goes from warm to cold and back.

If you go to
www.mtdcanada.com you should be able to find aparts breakdown for your machine which will be helpfull in puting it back together. You will need your model and serial # to find your parts breakdown. The breaedown wont tell you how to do it but it will give you a good idea. if it's not helpful the if you post the model and serial # here then I can see what you will need to do.

Snowblower cuts out,
You have a single stage Tecumseh engine in that, if you look at the nut that holds the bowl on it should have the main bolt that holds the bowl and what looks like a screw going thru the center of the nut, the screw part is your high speed idle adjustment. While machine is running turn the screw in just a little at a time listening for the idle to go up. If it doesn't go up and it starts to bog then turn the screw out and listen for the same thing .when you here the idle go up then it starts to go back down then turn it back to peak and your set. It's best that you do this when it's cold so you can run it long enough to adjust, other wise it's not good to run it for any length of time in warm conditions.
