The deck belt is not adjustable, it is tightened by the number 26 spring. Spring can loose tension or the belt could be stretched.

Check and see if there is a shear or safety pin in one of the drive pulleys that has broken.See if there is a pulley that turns by hand when this happens. Could be one has broken but grabs for a little bit. Also check the drive belt and see if it is slipping Check all the drive areas . BE SAFE BY TAKING THE KEY OUT AND TRYING BY HAND>

Yes but Test voltage regulator first.Then check wiring connections.Dirt in plugin connections etc.

Given your description the brake actuator module is suspect. This unit has an automatic electric brake system. If the brake actuator does not fully rotate into brake set position the engine will not crank. Check for obstructions in brake linkage. You could try disconnecting brake linkage and see if it allows for engine start. Can also be a bad pole in the PTO switch or loose connection somewhere in start engine safety interlock.

what belt did you change? i assume the drive belt. if it is not exactly the right size it wont work. if it is not routed correctly it wont work. it may have slipped off of a pulley.

There is no easy way to check transaxle fluid level for this model. See service manual below. First check both bypass levers are in proper position. See page 17 of operators guide. https://www.toro.com/getpub/28630 If bypass levers are correct, then see purge procedure page 4-8 in the service manual. https://w-8ww.toro.com/getpub/28017 Note; left turn failure during forward travel is a power issue with the right transaxle. If there is marked fluid leaking from suspected transaxle, it will need addressed (removed, repaired, reinstalled).
