It is likely that your transaxle just isn't up to the task. I suggest that you try to operate the machine on the hills prior to going on flat land. This is a huge problem with these machines.
2yr old 23hp intek briggs&stratton motor keeps
it seems like you have a problem with your carburetor you need to get a carburetor rebuild kit this will help with the flow of gas into the carburetor . you will also need to replace or clean the spark plug it is most likely black from the unburnt gas . Get a pair of vise grips gently clamp the fuel line from the gas tank to cut off the flow of gas to the carburetor If you have a new lawnmower you need to see if the bowl is held in place by a screw or a spring clip if it has an aluminum bowl take off the screw from the bottom of the bowl you will see some sediment that is an orange rusty color in the bowl new gas or brake cleaner or carb cleaner will remove it wear gloves while doing it. wipe clean set bowl aside on a clean paper towel. the screw that went into the bottom of the bowl has some small holes in it i recommend getting a cutting torch tip cleaner from home depote or lowes in the welding section it has very tiny wires with ridges to clean the holes after cleaning these you should be able to put the whole thing back together . if the screw in the bottom has a screw with a spring in it you want to turn the screw all the way in until it stops then loosen it 2 and a half turns if the screw is on the side of the carburetor then do the same procedure make sure it is not the screw on the idle that is a separate adjustment . if you can start the engine @ this point if it is running a bit rough to let less gas screw in tighter to allow more gas loosen till engine is running smooth with no pulsing up and down. i hope this helps if you have any questions or need more help please post thanks have a nice day
I own a 3 year
At first glance it sounds like starter is not engaging just spinning they usually don not give us a warning they just go at the wrong place and time. Take it off and bench test it to make sure or take it to your local repair shop or maybe even auto zone they will test it for you. Good Luck...
Excessive vibration when blades are
If it started when a rag wrapped around the spindle mandrel? You may have damaged the mandrel. Check where they bolts onto the deck, if the mounts are damaged, this could give you the vibration. You could also have done something as simple as bent a blade.
I started the mower but the blades will not turn.
Most all riders have a safety seat switch now and they do malfuction alot. They are under the seat and are ez to replace most of the time. First look for a wire that is grounding due to rubbing a sharp object. That can be fixed with black tape
Good luck!!!
I have a Husqvarana CTH171 , The unit drives fine
Sorry to say it but someone probably hit something and the blade, pulley or deck is bent and when ever you engage the belt for the blades and they wont turn and the pressure is to much for the mower then it dies. You will need to measure the blade on one side and see if the measurement is the same one the other side of the mower but the same side of the blade. if the measurement is not the same or wont move check to see if the blade is against the deck if it is and the blades are not bent your pulley and shaft could be bent and you can measure both right and left sides of the pulley on top not blades side of the deck, if the measurement is different it is bent and you will have to take it to a service repair shop . You would have to check with the service or warranty company. If I can help further please contact me. Thank you.
HI there.. please help.. tractor
the air mixture carburetor screws have vibrated out causing this dilemma. you will need to readjust them or have it done by a qualified repair technician
I replaced the starter on
A common problem with mowers is the aluminum key in the keyway between the flywheel and engine shaft it mounts on. If you hit something with the mower blade this key breaks or becomes deformed causing the timing to be off so the engine will die and not start until the key is replaced. This is to prevent the cam and valves in the engine from being damaged. If you are sure of the electrical is good, check the flywheel key.Other possibility for starter smoking is starter ground wires not connected properly or any wire is connected wrong, and this is causing the problem.
Poor ground connection
Find all ground connections, disconnect and clean the connections. The solenoid, installed, may also be grounded to the frame. Remove the solenoid and clean the area where it bolts to the frame. Clean the connections for the negative battery cable both at the battery and the frame.
To provide a good electrical connection, abrade the connection surface with a wire brush, sandpaper, or steel wool to remove any surface contaminant. Clean the surface with a solvent such as, alcohol, MEK, or lacquer thinner.-----------

I continue to have a problem with the Husqvarna
Hi,
I think that you are on the right track....the purpose of the baffle is to help create a suction that helps to pull the grass upward... in reality it does nothing that you can ever notice...
I would remove it and be done with it...

How do i by pass
Tilt the seat up and forward. Find the two wire cable going to the seat switch and cut it. Bare the ends of the wires, twist them together and put a wire nut on the splice. Lower seat and go. Apologize to all the folks, including yourself, who lose their toes!
