If the click is coming from one side of the rear of the scooter, I would think you have a dry axle. If this is the case, you will hear a regular clicking noise, just as if there is a stone in the tyre. All you have to do is remove the wheel, apply some grease to the axle and re-fit the wheel again. When removing the wheel, be careful not to loose the hub key (usually a small strip of square metal that fits in a groove in the axle and wheel). This clicking noise is a very common problem with Pride scooters and one we regularly deal with, even on brand new scooters. If this doesnt cure your problem there are a number of other things it could be, but i would need more specific details to try and help you. Hopefully its just the axle! hi Taffie, that related to the freewheel lever or brake make sure the at the lever is not bent and make sure connection to the brake are okay , there is a micro-switch located on the brake make sure that's releasing when you move the lever... it like a rounded plastic point , that is part of the switch and sometimes they stick so acting like it 's in freewheel when in fact it isn't ... hi , normally this can be a bearing running dry or a worn bearing ballrace ..... is it possible to get one off the floor so it will spin... please take great care when carrying this out... running the scooter like this will allow to pinpoint where the noise is coming from... This is a speed pot or throttle control problem (wig-wag) have you had some speed issues with the scooter before this happened, if so the wig-wag needs replacing. Make sure it is in the centre position at rest and switch the scooter on again.

This sounds to me like you need a cleaning of all electrical connections that you can get to. I would remove cable from negitive side of the battery first and leave it disconnected until you are finished. Clean both battery cables using a wire brush sand paper or whatever you can to clean. I would also have the battery tested. Some auto parts stores such as auto zone will do this for you for free.
You probably will need to have most of this work done by a service tech, as it sounds like the throttle control is going to need work and the only units like yours that I have worked on were not user friendly.Sorry I'm not more help. Thank you

yes this is a common problem on a victory scooter i know i have one and the same problem just solder it up carefully

the motor will automatically brake the scooter to stopped and keep it locked there until it is running again or put manually in neutral.

From a pure physics standpoint... The energy to climb a hill... be it from the steep side or the gentle sloping side is the same... It is just easier on your heart and joints to take the gentle slope... (assuming you have the time). ERGO: If treating the scooter like a QUEEN is your goal... DEFINITELY GO SLOW. Sounds to me like the worm drive is slipping , this can happen when the worm drive small bearing is worn,

If you do take it a part , please take great care, the shaft from the motor will have a worm drive, two bearings on the worm drive,

Try to move the shaft within the bearings, I paid £10 for replacement bearings.

Maybe too late for this advice but it is important to take a detailed photograph of the wireing before unplugging anything.

I'd recommend a dental pick.
