Look for debris in the carrier area, put some WD40 on the silver shafts that the carrier slides on.DickyO

Sometimes the daisy wheel can be displaced and so will react awkwardly. So shut down and remove the daisy wheel and remove and se t it back after a switch on and shut. Also it be due to some malfunction in the keypad logics which interfaces with a processor.
