Do I Need MORE RAM?
Hey bro, a gross consumption of system resources s a good sign of... sorry to be the one to tell you, but a virus. A good free virus removal/detector is avg ( http://free.avg.com/ ). If this isn't the problem, you might want to shut down extra junk. You can delete stuff from your Programs folder, or you can do a temp thin. Under run on the start menu, type msconfig. From here, you can shut down any programs that you don't need. Just make sure to restart when you're done.

Cold Boot (Remove power and battery wait re-fit battery), then see if you can get into Bios if you can Do Not Change any settings (Exit without saving) then re-try. Sounds like you may well have to use a start up disk easy to do using a PC with the same operating system YouTube for you I think.
Sorry I cannot help more can you let us know if it will let you into Bios please as that would help. Regards David
My dell inspiron keeps freezing
At this juncture your best bet is to run the msconfig command and see what is running in the background and using up all of your resources.
Antivirus programs are wicked for screwing up a machine, especially Norton. Dump the sucker - might even have to get a special program to accomplish this.
If that does not do it then just backup your files and restore your machine to its as new condition using the software that came with your unit.
How do i know what programs i can take out of this laptop? it is running so slow.
Hi,
You can see what programs run in your system by pressing ctrl+alt+del keys together. then click task manager which will have the list of all the applications running. If you find a particular application making your computer work slow, then click on that application in the list and then click end task which will close that application.
One solution for your computer running slow could be reformatting your operating system. Your system might have been affected by virus which could be the reason for your system's bad performance.
Hope it helped!

Jegan
Low disk space on recovery d
That is the recovery partition that holds the files to refresh the laptop to it's original state. If you are trying to save files to that partition, you aren't supposed to. If you aren't and explorer is showing low disk space and the computer is running fine, don't worry about it. The C: drive not having space is what will cause problems.
Have a black screen on dell 1521
try taking the battery out, pull out the power cord, and push and hold down the power button for 10-15 seconds. Then put everything back and try to start normally. If the problem still continues, try turning it off and pulling the memory out of the laptop and then reseat it...sometimes this may cause the problem but without any sorts of beeping or display occurring, it's very hard to help you on this one. I'm wishing you the best though. :-)
Overheated now won t start
check if cpu fan is working , remove if any dust is stuck in it , if the fan is having a problem try replacing the fan , add heat sink paste if required
Just power light won't boot?
first remove the battery and hold the power button for 30 seconds still if not working try removing the ram or replacing it
Black screen on pc
Look at the screen closely at an extreme angle while it's on. If you can see the normal display but it's just very dim then the screen inverter is shot; an easy DYI project for ~$40. If there's no display at all, can you test it by hooking it up to a monitor? If that works then the screen either went bad and needs replacing (under $200) or the power circuit to the screen (delicate wires near hinge) need replacing. If an external monitor doesn't work then it "might" be a graphics chip failure. Easier at that point to just replace than repair.
Windows Failed to load because Kernel file is missing, or corrupt
Are you talking about two problems on one computer? If so, the first problem doesn't matter until the second one is fixed. If you are talking about two different computers, then the problems can be each addressed.
For the hard drive that is not recognized, where did it come from? If you purchased it used, you may be out of luck. It sounds like you have a pretty good idea how computers work, and it also sounds like this hard drive does not work at all.
If these are both the same computer, then replacing the hard drive with a known working hard drive will most likely provide you with a solution.
I wish I had better news for you.
Arrow keys are not working
Try pressing F7 [ it should work ] else it sounds like your ALT key is stuck in the down position. Reboot your computer and see if there is some built-in diagnostics. If there is, then there might be a keyboard diagnostic test you can run.
