Just reset it! At the back of the router is a small hole.With a toothpick or some like press gently for 30 seconds and wait for the router to start up again.Log in to http://192.xxx.xxx and start a new configuration.

You usually log into the router by typing 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your web browser of a computer that is already connected. ( if this doesn't work reply to me and i will give your the steps to find out the ip address of the router.) then it will ask for a username and password. Usually the username is: Admin and the Password is either: admin, password, or (just leave the field blank). If successful login you should be able to find the wireless security page to change or view your password. Best of luck to you :) if need any help with this please respond :)

Step 5 : On this Page you can find the WPA Key ( If it is a bunch of dots then Uncheck "OBSCURE PSK ")

Step 6 : IF the security mode is WEP then the key 1 will be your password

Reset the router by depressing the reset button in back.....It's alot easier and faster to just set it up again.

But, if you really want to do that, you can download a copy of BackTrack 4 and use it to crack the password.

The steps below will guide you to create a new wireless network
All your wireless devices will get disconnected from the old network and you will have to reconnect all of them after this setup is complete

Step 7 : Enable 64 Bit WEP

Step 8 : Type a 10 digit number on the key 1 ( 2 in each box )

Step 9 : Click apply changes

Step 10 : on the left under wireless click channel and SSID

Step 11 :Change the Wireless channel to 6

Step 12 : Change the SSID to a different name ( no Spaces )

Step 13 : Click apply changes

Step 14 : Now Scan and connect to this network ( Wireless )

I also have this problem i.e whenever I start Vuze my Internent connetion is cut - I can't search Vuze and it takes 20 mins for my connection to be restored once I've closed Vuze - my ISP is Tiscali - anyone got any ideas?

just pressed the reset button and the code should be located under the router itself

you can reset the router
look for a small button or pinhole on the rear
power off & press it for 1 minute
power on & log on

When you installed your router you must have chosen a password that is supposed to be your key

go to the router address, might be http://192.168.1.1 and type in user name and password,
might something like this,
admin
admin
or
admin
password
and that should take you to the router page, then go to password in that page and set it up, or the router might set one for you, but don't forget to write it down and keep it safe for your own network

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. After having its firmware upgraded, your router might have been returned to its factory defaults. If so, select computer of yours which is connect to one of your router's ethernet ports (i.e. thorugh a wired connection). Fire up an internet browser there, go to 'http://192.168.2.1' and simply click on 'Login', since this router is not shipped with a password. Once in the configuration page, select 'Security' and change the settings you wish. Just for references, perhaps you might be interested in taking a look at their webiste.

if the wire less light is not turning on in the modem then there are no wire less devices on. pls check the wireless adapter in your computer and try uninstalling and reinstalling the NIC.

Kindy copy this steps in notepad and also copy the screen shot before u start doing it.

You can put up a wireless password manually b logging in to the router interface but you should be very careful because if you change any thing else it might be a messup your whole router so kindly do the following steps alone.

Step 1: Open the internet explorer

Step 2: Clear the address bar and just type the number alone which is 192.168.2.1

Step 3: You will get router screen as below

Step 4: In the left corner of the page under "Wireless" Security and select security mode as "64 bit WEP "

Step 5: Type any 2 numbers per box as u like and apply changes. Also make sure that you are gonna copy the password. If you want to connect any other computer in future you will need to have that password to connect.

Step 6: Under security in left side select "WPS or Wifi Protected Setup" and select WPS as disabled and apply changes. Dont worry it not related to security its just an option that has to be disabled if you enable the 64 bit WEP password.

Step 7: Then Connect wireless computer to the wireless network name and will ask for the password this time since password has been enabled. And ur router is gonna be a protected one and no one can hack it.

Step 8: In case if ur not able to connect to the network remove the preferred network and connect to it.

To remove preferred network

XP OS

Start -->control pannel --> Network and Internet connection-->Network connection --> Right click on Wireless network connection icon --> Select 2nd tab Wireless network --> Remove preferred network one by one.

Windows Vista/ Windows 7

Start -->control pannel --> Network and Internet connection -->Network and sharing center --> In the left side select Manage Wireless network and remove preferred network one by one.

Have you put a Lan cable from the mac to the router? I dont think it will connect wirelessly until that is enabled in the setup.

You will need to check the wireless settings of the router.
If your network is secured then make sure that you are typing the correct network key.
also make sure that the DHCP server is enabled on the router.
is there any computer connected to the router ?
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
Router set up page is the page where you can check all the wireless settings of the router.

TRY RESETTING THE ROUTER. THERE WILL BE A SMALL HOLE IN THE ROUTER WHERE THE RESET BUTTON IS. INSERT TOOTHPICK OR SOMETHING NON-METALLIC AND DEPRESS FOR 30 SECONDS. THAT SHOULD RESET IT.
