Time to reach for your rescus disc or system dic to boot from if F8 doesn't let you in to safe mode.
Hope you can recover OK and when you are in run CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive errors.

I found some Everx recovery disk on Ebay I am not sure if the disk will accommodate
your Netbook PC. Most recovery disk have the same information store to them.

you can download a boot cd called ophcrack.
Burn this to cd anfd boot from there.
This cd will find your password...

Just trying a stick of RAM shouldn't kill your system. Think dirt. Is there a chance that the contacts on both the laptop and RAM are dirty? Are you sure that you installed it correctly? It's easy to get it wrong in a laptop. It's real easy.

Go to Control Panel, select Add or remove user account, select The User Name with the Password, under Administrator or Guest acccounts. You can change the User Name and Password. I hope thise Fix it.

Both HTTP and FTP use the same network protocol to transfer data (TCP/IP).

FTP regular port is port 21. By default this port is left open by the router built in firewall, and on firewalls installed on Windows. Unless the router or another firewall has been specifically set to block port 21, firewalls will not block FTP on standard settings.
FTP may be not working because of the client used. The regular browsers do not allow full usage as FTP client.

Try first downloading an FTP client like filezilla. Click here to download.

You can also test the network using the computer on a different wi fi, and checking if you have the same problem (HTTP but no FTP) using a different local network.

If the problem is not the FTP client, then please come back to us telling what error you get, and telling us what happens when you connect to the network using a cable.

try to bot from a usb device, try an external cd/dvd rom and from there you could re-install the OS, change your boot order to boot from usb

If your computer have a serial port connect an external modem.
