WRT160N: Can't connect internet to router

I think you should reset your router. There is a red small button in the back or the bottom side. Press it around 30sec after release it and turn off the router(take out from the power). After 1minute turn it on again and wait until the led lighting well. If you do this methot after you have to make security settings again. open your browser and type the address usually http://192.168.1.1 after that login:admin pass: just leave it blank. if you not sure about the security setting ask somebody close to you to help. i mean WPA and other wifi network protections. so nobady can steal your internet.you can try this process to but that is quite complicate if you do not know so much about routers.http://www.computing-tips.net/Reset_Linksys_wrt120n_default_settings/

How to make security password for my wi fi?

I think you mean you want to secure your wireless network from unauthorized access. To connect to your wireless router, the router's wireless settings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also the wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router. Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer. Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL http://192.168.1.1 The default login = admin The default PW = admin You can protect your router by changing the default admin PW (write it down and put it in a safe place) Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption. Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer. Reset my wireless router to factory

Hello Friend,
The first method involves using the reset button that is located at the back of the router. It isn’t hard to reset the router this way, but does require physically being in the same location as the router.
To reset the router using the reset button, use these steps:
  1. Look for the red reset button at the back of the router.
  2. Press and hold the reset button for approximately 5 seconds.
The second method involves logging into the administrative pages of your router. This can be done from anywhere that you can connect to your router. While not complex, there are a few more steps than using the reset button.
  • Log in to the router’s administrative pages.
  • Click the “Administration” menu option.
  • Next, click “Factory Defaults” from the sub-menu.
  • Click the “Restore All Settings” button on the screen.
I hope this Helped you..I like to know Feedback too.....Thanks for Contacting FixYa..

Tryint to reset my wireless router to default

The router's admin page is http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 and the default password should be either "admin" or "password" without quotes. There should be a choice under "Setup" called "Factory Reset". That will erase the settings and reset it like new.Alternatively, you can follow the procedure as given below on all the brands I've tried (Belkin, D-Link, Linksys)1. hold the reset button for 30 seconds (don't release)2. unplug the power (still holding reset) for 10 seconds3. plug power back in (still holding reset)4. hold reset for another 30 seconds - the lights will usually begin flashing in some odd pattern5. release the reset button6. wait 1 full minute or until the lights stop flashing7. unplug the power for 10 seconds, just to do a reboot8. verify the settings (e.g. SSID) are back to the defaultsGet online router/wireless router support at http://www.vtechsquad.com/linksys-router-support/ to fix Linksys router/wireless router issues.
