hi mate, i would just hard reset the router and then you can use the default password that comes with it , below is the link to the belkin hard reset proceed, and i diagram of your router, just hold a paperclip in the reset button for 15 seconds (fig. 10) after its reset you can use the default password the router came with, here is the hard reset procedure Resetting the Belkin router to factory default settings using the Reset... the default password should be on the router on a sticker somewhere

When you turn the computer OFF and the computer's Network Iterface Card (NIC) LED goes orange it means that it is a sleap (meaning that it could wake up from a remote command from an other device/computer) NOT THAT OTHER DEVICES ARE NOT CAPABLE OF USING THE NETWORK... now I need more information on your setup, (like), is the computer (the off computer) a DHCP SERVER???, is it set up to SHARE the internet connection with other devices (is it the network's gateway)??? or (DNS SERVER)??? when did this problem poped up... after a Windoze update??? did it worked befor and stoped for no reason??? what kind of modem you have??? who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)???

You do not have to use the cd.

Shutdown your PC. Unplug the power from the router and the cable modem.
Wait 30 sec. then plug in the power to the cable modem, wait 30 sec. then plug the power to the router. Wait till you have "Internet" light then restart your PC. The PC should pick up an IP address and you should be able to get on-line. This is if you have a cable service provider. If you have DSL, the router needs to be configured with PPOe.

On the back of the router locate a small hole with letters "RESET".Press gently for 30 seconds and wait for reboot.Then log onto http:/192.xxx.xxx and start anew configuration.

Please check the range of that wireless router and also connectivity of the router.

since one of the computer is going w/l, that means router should be working fine. the computer that is not connecting might have some w/l settings that neds to be changed

If you connect the computer to the router , it works.
That means the wired connection is OK.
Open the set up page of the router check the wireless settings of the router.
I think your network is secured and you are not typing the correct network key.
just open the router set up and check the wireless settings .

Visit Belkin Official Support - F7D4301 Downloads There are two versions of firmware available. Version 4 and Version 1. To downgrade your router firmware, use version 1 firmware. I hope this will resolve your issue.

ok... so I've now installed this on my new pc that i built... first in order to get it to install at all you must download DirectX 7.0 and right click to "--(edit compatibility settings to windows 98/Me and run as administrator)--" remember this as well be doing it a few times. once you do that install DirectX 7.0 and say yes to all. now that this is installed take the .iso file you have and burn it to a cd or DVD-r, once burned you need to go to my computer and right click on the cd/DVD drive, select open (NOT open autoplay), inside the disc menu i want you to go to 2 files... "setup" and "start" need to also have their compatibility settings changed to the above settings. now that these are set stay in the cd menu and double click "setup" this will take you through the setup procedure. after the setup procedure is finished do not view the notes, and continue back to the desktop. now from your start menu load the game and it should run

to get to the internet , you will need.

A broadband connection (ADSL / Cable) this normally comes with a standard NON wifi modem
A WiFi Router (including ADSL / Cable Modem) depending on what you have already.


then to link a remote PC / Laptop to this network, A suitable wireless adapter ( like your belkin adapter)
