Hi, Experts,
Somehow, my dehumidifier (LG LHD45EL) runs without collecting water. Can you tell me the possible causes. If it needs to be repaired, where can I turn to? My zip code is 60089 (Buffal Grove, IL).

1- check if the water collecting bucket is properly installed (the light will show is ON but if the bucket is not propely installed -pushed in the proper position ) -make sure the slots on the bottom of the dehumidifier are posisioned correctly.

I have a hose connection to the unit so the water will flow into basement drain instead of bucket. It has started to fill up bucket instead of discharging via the hose. (all connections appear to be correct)
There must be a blockage in the hose causing the water to back up and flow into the bucket. Try pushing a flexble peice of wire through the hose to unblock it.

i have a lg dehumidifier lg 45lhd and i am getting a code ch o1 whats up with that
Change the sensor assembly and all will be fine, about $30 from Appliance Factory Parts on line store, about an hour to do, all that is needed is Phillips screw driver to take unit apart.

My LG dehumidifier runs for a long time, fan and compressor, but no water is accumulating in the tank. The humidistat is set at 70% and always reads 75%.
Sounds like it needs to be recharged.

All the controls seem to be working and the motor runs but no water is in the bucket. Last year I was emptying the bucket every day or two. I'm afraid the motor will burn out so I have turned it off until i hear from you. Thank you.

The other day, the dehumidifier stopped working and on the front panel, it lights up and show the following (CH) (01), I don't have a clue what this means, and after about a day, it restarted and then a few hours later, we got the same message. I don't know if it's a fuse or something is clogged or what. If somebody could help us, it would be greatly appreciated.
I believe it is a water tank code. Re-seat the tank, unplug wait 15 seconds and replug the power cord and see if this resolves the error.
Background relating to other possibilities.
When the water bucket reaches its capacity, the bucket switch opens to shut off the dehumidifier. If the bucket switch fails while it is open, it will prevent the dehumidifier from running. To determine if the bucket switch is defective, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the bucket switch does not have continuity, replace it.

how do i make it continue to run with no bucket so it does not fill and and so i don't have to empty it
Attach a length of garden hose no longer than 5 feet, to the threaded drain hose connection that was supplied with your unit, to carry water to the drain.
1. Remove the drain-hole cover on the back left side of your unit.
2. Connect a garden hose to the threaded drain hose connector.
3. Push hose connector tightly to the drain-hole on Rear Grille with the arrow on the tab pointing UP.
The hose attachment will accept a standard garden hose fitting.
Do not over tighten the hose when connecting it to the hose connector,
use a rubber washer and tighten by hand firmly without stripping the
plastic threads.
When being attached to hose connector drain hose connection,
do not bend or kink the hose. The hose should lie flat from the
dehumidifier to the drain.

i have a code on the screen CH 01... What do i need to do to get it to run again???
CH 01 Indicates that water collection tank is full and needs to be removed & emptied. Turn the unit OFF and unplug it, before removing the bucket.
