That same site also carries a chain for your LNT 8 saw, but there are different subcategores, LNT1, LNT2, and 8A and B. I'll paste the address for the page where you have to choose your option: http://www.desaparts.com/remington-chainsaw.html

FYI, You don't need to buy a remington chain to fit your saws. Just buy a chain that is the right length and matches the rest of the specs on your chain, the pitch etc. .050,.025, and so many teeth per inch and so forth. Then you can buy locally.

Jim it is so long out of production about the only thing available is the OM. If you can get a pn off the original switch Allied or Newark is an option. Maybe a trigger switch from a saw in current production can be modified to fit.

A length of spring steel and almost any micro switch might also be an option. Beyond that I am out of ideas.

Check to make sure the blade is not installed backwards. It's an easy mistake to make, everything will work OK, but the saw won't cut if the blade is on backwards.

We are in no way connected with RemingtonPower. They are no longer in production and replacement parts are very difficult to find. Often eBay is your only source of parts. Sorry. Lou
