Need Panasonic SDR-H40 software download

You can connect to any computer with a USB port. It appears as a hard drive after you tell the camera to connect (in the menu). Then just copy the .mod files to a spot on yor computer; there will be one for each movie clip.
Your next chore is changing them into MPEG files at the correct aspect ratio. If you shot in 16:9 they will be squished together unless you use the SDCopy freeware utility to set the widescreen flag. It also renames and downloads files for you, and it's small. There's a link from this tutorial page, which also explains a lot about aspect ratios and such:

How do i connect my sdr-h40 to my laptop?

You have two options of connecting that camcorder to your computer. If you have any SD card readers in your house, you can take the SD card out of the camera and put it in an SD card reader. This would be the most direct way to manipulate the images and videos you have on the card since a lot of cameras only allow copying to, but not from the computer (See next paragraph)

The second option you have is to simply plug in a mini-USB cable into both the camera and the computer. This method will allow you to view the pictures/video, but may not allow you to edit the contents of the internal storage (the SD card).

While recording the Camcorder goes in and out of

It sounds like you are either too close to the subject or you need to flip the focus switch to automatic.
The Auto/Manual focus button is located on the left side of the camcorder under the LCD monitor flap.
Other than that, does this happen only in low light? The camera will have trouble focusing in low light usually.

Everytime i link the camera

There should be DC cable with your camera which looks like a battery with a lead coming out of it. The battery end goes into the camera and the lead plugs into the battery charger. See the manual on their web site:

The most likely cause for this is a zoom or focus lens out of place and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

My panasonic sdr-h40 picture quality is very poor,

my advice is to get into the main menu and look for the reset to factory settings feature and engage it ...This will get rid of any strange settings and put it in the factory setting on normal mode..
If after that will still make trouble ..it means that it is something defective in physical nature..and it need to be fixed by a professional

How do i download the videos i record to my

You have to actually do the transfer from the camera, by using the camera's screen and interface, and then "push" the files to your computer. But in order to transfer the files, the camera has to be on AC power, so you have to remove the battery and hook up the AC cable.

I cannot copy and upload my recorded video..how

Hi, video can be transferred to your computer from the camera by using the USB cable that came with the camera. Just hook the cable up to the camera and the computer, and then you can transfer files to your computer by using the screen and joystick on the camera.

The only requirement is that the camera has to be on AC power when you transfer files, so you'll have to remove the battery and set up the AC power cable and DC power cable before you can transfer any files. If you try it on battery power, the camera's screen will tell you to put it on AC power.

Window 7 compatibilty

Hi, the VideoCam Suite 1.0 is not compatible with Windows 7, but that doesn't mean you can't transfer files to a Windows 7 computer. You'll just have to use another program to edit the videos if you want to edit them.
