What is recording medium in your camcorder? Memory card, hard drive, built in memory? If memory card or hard drive then remove it from camcorder, connect to computer and use recovery software. Hopefully camcorder doesn't do full format only quick format. If full format was performed then say good bye to your recordings. I don't kow if any recordings on internal memory can be recovered.

It may the process that loads options and booting .So the screen goes to white.When the camcorder goes old the problem happen

i think you will have to buy a new camcorder because if it is creeping out like that it is probably the camera itself,well the crack has something to do with it also,but its the camera,if it was just a crack itself on the camera then you can replace it,if you didnt keep touching it after it cracked it probably would have been alright to just get a new screen,but now its messed up...

Before the flash can work, the strobe have to be charged. as soon as that is done it well say ready.

Are you using Rechargeable batteries..

Download VLC player and that would play all video files

turn flash to off in menu and it will at least work.

this is the driver it should start automatically then you can just connect the cam and use My Computer to get the photos/ videos

Have you tried to use it connected to a power supply, to verify that it is in fact in working order?

Make sure you have good strong batteries. "Strobe Charge" is what the camera says when it's sending power to the strobes that make the flash. It can take alot of juice and if you're using weak or old batteries they may not be able to handle the load. I found with my DSLR that the Energizer Lithium batteries are great for cameras and have been using those exclusively in all my cameras. I just got the Aiptek about a month ago, have not changed batteries yet. My other digital video camera ran for over two months on one set of them, and I used it alot. It's on it's second set now and my husband has it.

No return the card before you open it and get a regular SD card! this card will not format in your camera! Please rate my answer!
