Need to reset netgear router wpn824v2

Don't tell me you tried to upload the firmware from a wireless connection.

It's probably bricked. You could act stupid and send it back to Netgear, claiming it just died...(it did right?) and in the meanwhile, Staples is selling 624's for $40 this week.

If it doesn't indicat on the router itself, you can call NETGEAR 1-888-638-4327. Give the tech your serial number and they will be able to determine the version of the router.

For this you will need to open the setup page of the router.
Do u have any computer connected to the router ?
If not then you can connect one of your computers to the router.
Access the routre setup page. under the wireless settings you will find the SSID of your network.
SSID is nothing but the name of your wireless network.
You will need to check the wireless settings of the router..

Bought this netgear rangemax wireless router and

Take the ethernet cable which is going from your Warner cable modem to your computer, and run it from your cable modem to the input connection of your router. Then take a second ethernet cable and run it from the router (ports 1, 2,3 or 4) to your computer. Log into your router's setup page (see your instruction manual), and set up all the passwords and wireless settings. Please read the instructions for specifics of your particular router.

I HAVE A RANGEMAX WIRELESS ROUTER BUT I DONT

Yes. Are you referring to the WEP password which you use to connect to the wireless? If you are referring to WEP you can reset it by logging into the router through the admin panel with the admin login details(assuming you have them) and then chnage or reset the WEP password. If you are dont have access to the ADMIN console and also the WEP then you have to reset the router to its default settings. But before doing that please make sure you know all the settings with which the router needs to be configured with.

How do I find my version of netgear wireless

You will need to actually login to the router, usually the ip address is 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

Type that address into the address bar of internet explorer.

Usually the usernaem and password is some type of combination of admin and password

Or try admin and no password, etc.

Once logged in there should be a main status page that shows up and will dispaly the router's firmware version

Hope this helps!

Can not connect to my netgear wireless network

Hi, are u sure if you are using the correct WPA key. You can check the same by following the steps below:

Please follow the steps on a computer connected to the router so as to check the network key:
1. Open the browser(Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox).
2. Access the router usually http://192.168.1.1 else try http://www.routerlogin.com
3. Login to the router (User Name = admin Password = password unless you have changed it).
4. Click on Wireless Settings'(under Setup) from the left menu.
5. Check if 'WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy)' or 'WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key)' is selected under 'Security Options'.
6. If WPA-PSK is selected, copy the code entered in the passphrase.
7. If WEP is selected, copy the code entered in the Key that has a black dot before it.
This is the code required for connecting the wireless computer to the routers' wireless network.

Connec to the wireless network using this key.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

I can not connect to the internet on netgear.

I would reset the unit and start from scratch, evidently some variables have been entered and WE do not know what they are, so start over with a clean slate. If you are going to encrypt your network, I recommend that you do, you need a usb drive to save your settings to, this makes it easier to add other pc's to your network.

I believe Netgear uses a Network Wizard to generate encryption codes, I would also suggest changing the default channel to something else, I am quite sure you are not the only person using Netgear in your neck of the woods (unless you are really deep out there?) this will help prevent any conflicts with other networks. Also change the default password to something you can remember.

Belkin f9k1106v1 range extender not connecting

QUICK TIP: When finding a location for your range extender, it is best to place it within the same room as the computer. You can also use https://192.168.206.1 to access the range extender's web-based setup page. Step 1: Place the range extender in an area where the Wi-Fi signal of your router is strong, but near where you want to establish your extended network. Step 2: Plug in the power supply of the range extender and make sure that it is powered ON. Shortly, its light will begin to flash blue and orange. Step 3: Place your computer near the range extender. Also, make sure your computer is not wired to any other network devices. Step 4: Connect your computer to the range extender by opening the list of Wi-Fi networks and selecting Belkin.setup. Confirm that the list shows it's connected. Step 5: Open a web browser, enter https://belkin.range into the Address bar, and follow the on-screen instructions. Don't forget to type "http". Once the setup for your range extender is complete, you may connect the computer to its Wi-Fi.
