Hi I assume you are planning to print frames from a video? It's funny they cannot print your images - did the people in the shop say something like: you cannot print / because it will be poor quality? If so it may be possible to print your images - but a camcorder does not usually produce good images. The sharpness perceived in a film comes from the multiple images viewed. To alter the resolution you will need an image editing software like photoshop.

Sometimes there are problems with unreliable/underpowered usb ports. To start with, make sure you are plugging directly into the computer usb port, not into a usb hub. Try a different usb port. If you are using a laptop, make sure it is running on AC power and not just battery power alone. That's the first step to troubleshoot... If it doesn't work, post more info regarding your computer type and operating system.

Contact the maker. Usually the makers have free software that can be downloaded

Is there a way to lock the recording media? If so, you know what to do.

Did your battery came with a small, short cable? If yes:
- turn off the camera
- plug the cable in the camera but DO NOT attache the battery to the camera
- turn on the camera
- if the camera is working, than the battery is working.
- tape off with electrical tape the battery terminals - all of them. Now you can attach the battery to the camera.

try to install the cd driver camed with your camcorder. insert the usb from your camcorder to your pc. use Ulead movie maker instead of Windows movie maker.

Well, actually, it is only 1 year and 3 months old.

Amazon claims the model number is GZ-MG77US, hope that helps, it doesn't show up on amazon, why do you need to find it on your camcorder anyway; it should at least be on the manual.

Hello Patrick,
Unfortunately the JVC camcorders suffers in poor lighting conditions. The problem mentioned is normally seen when you shoot in poor lighting conditions. Could you please tell me if there was enough light at the time of shooting.

Try the software with the camera first, if you do loose significant quality, go and download one the numerous free video converters.

directly capture ur video in pinnacle thru ur usb cable provided , or see if there is any software cd provided with ur camera , select capture video from source in pinnacle and then select ur camera if it appears there , other wise if u r camera has firewire 1394 connection port it is like mini usb port , then u need a pci firewire card for ur pc and a firewire cable to connect ur camera directly to pc and then it will sure appear in the pinnacle list of capturing devices then directly cap the video in whichever format u like say mpeg2 for dvd like videos and then u can edit, this firewire port is normally incl in the new laptop series nowadays

ur av cable is faulty try changing it, try the sound cable normally the red one on video port on both sides check if video works or not , if thats the case ur av cable is faulty

This could be because you have set the White Balance to Fluorescent. Set this to Auto and it should be fine.

try formatting the device or read the manual
