You probably have the one with the NVidia graphics chip don't you?Reballing is probably your cheapest option to fix this actually. This problem tells me that your graphics chip (GPU) on your motherboard has gone bad possibly due to overheating. What is happening now is that some of the connection under the chip has separated, possibly some melted and touched each other causing a short of sorts. So either reballing the chip or replace the motherboard is your only options to repair this laptop I'm afraid.
Sd card reader not working
First check if are any drivers missing. If there are, try update drivers to solve. If not then you must open the notebook and check if there any visual damage in the card reader inside. the cheapest way to fix this is to buy a usb card reader, there plenty on the market for abou 10$ or 15$. If the internal card reader is damaged you would spend a lot more money to fix it.
LG E50 display problems
This is related to heat problem, resulting of bad manufacture of the motherboard. It hapens with some model of motherboard. I\'ve fixed some. You have to open the laptop case and find the GPU and CPU chips (See the manual or google for the manual of you board to locate them). Then see were the thermall mass is and wipe ip clean and replace it with fresh one. Clean the fans of all dust and mount everything again. That should do it.
Speakers don't mute with headphones on
When you plug headphones into a laptop computer, the laptop speakers are usually cut off automatically. However, if you wish to do this manually, there is a way. One common reason for shutting off the speakers is so that your quiet workplace won't fill up with sound if you should unplug the headset for some reason while playing music or performing some other sound-filled activity. Muting the Speaker but Not the System On a typical laptop running Windows, left-click on the double chevrons of the "Show hidden icons" button in the Quick Launch toolbar at the bottom-right corner of the screen. This will display all your hidden quick-launch icons, and usually these will an include an icon of a speaker that launches the "Volume Control" utility. If not, then you can also access the Volume Control utility from the Control Panel, via the "Sounds and Audio Devices" application. Simply launch that application, click on the "Volume" tab, and click on the "Advanced" button in the "Device volume" section. In the Volume Control utility, click on the "Advanced" button near the bottom-left area of the window. Near the bottom of the advanced controls window, there will be a section labeled "Other Controls." Here you should see some kind of check-box option labeled something to the effect of "PC Speaker Mute." If you check that box and save your changes, the laptop's speakers will be shut off, but you will still be able to listen to any music or other sounds through your headset. It's as simple as that. To cancel the shutoff, simply uncheck the box and save your changes. This method works for all versions of Windows still widely in use. Hope this helps. b>
