I'm Having The Same Problem. I've had this camera for almost 2 years and it had worked perfectly, but now is shaking everytime i open it. i really don't know what to do. can somebody help me, please?

Having gone over two months without a response to my query, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader solved the problem.

Not sure what you mean by the vibration problem. But there are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. But you'll need to use a memory stick USB card reader with them (they're inexpensive and available on Amazon). This article reviews some of the better freeware software available. Although I recommend MiniTool Power Data Recovery as the most effective of those listed.

The image stabilization motor has gone out and needs to be replaced. You can probably get a good used lens online for about $30-35 and install it yourself, or we can install it for you for a flat $35 including return shipping. A new lens from Sony or having them repair it will cost you $125 or more.

This was a Sony "innovation" that went completely wrong! You should complain loudly to them and your Better Business Bureau, your Attorney General, and the Consumer Protection Agency.

I'm guessing you tried to turn it on way too soon and fried the circuits. A camera with fresh water damage should be buried in a bowl of dry rice for a week before even attempting to turn it on. Salt water damage?....chances of a complete recovery are slim to none.

The internal Memory of the Camera is 31 MB. There is no option in this Camera to select the Internal Memory. To select the Internal Memory of the Camera, you have to remove the Memory Stick from the Camera. Thanks for using FixYa.
