Memory: 2 GB. The PROBLEM? Suddenly, all the photos are GONE! I connected my camera to my laptop, it shows there that my memory is almost FULL but there are NO PHOTOS at all! WHAT SHOULD I DO?

It sounds like the card is corrupted, the photos are lost. try a new card and take a couple of pics and see what happens. If you still have the same problem then it is the camera.

HI ! computa will not

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

What do I do when I keept getting the message

Hello

The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

Hope the advise is useful. please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance.

Regards
Andrea

The problem is when i switch my camera on, on the

ok so I was searching for the answer for this myself.. very hard to say, because it really depends on what happened to your camera.. Did you drop it? Did it emerge in water? But for me, I have come to the conclusion for everyone who has the problem.. it is most (99%) probably a problem with the lense.. another site told me to take it to get fiixed- or to take the battery out and wait 20 min to put it back in, because this resets it. I decided to manually open the lense myself (who knows if thats bad/good to do, but a girl's gotta take her pix!!) So anyway, i opened the lense, and turned it on- the "on again off again" msg went away. So most likely, the problem does stem to the lense not being able to be opened, so the msg pops up, if you open the lense yourself your camera works fine, when you turn it off- my closes the lense-just doesnt open it. different results for different people, but i hope this helps because it was very simple.

Hello, I have recorded video clips on my camera

Create a folder on your desktop. Use a separate card reader to download your videos to it. From there, you can do whatever you want with them provided you have a program on your computer that is compatible with your camera's video format.

Samsung ES80 Digital Camera. It is not charging and the red light is not flashing.

The battery has probably failed due to lack of use and regular charging Remove the battery and check it with a multimeter. To see the camera on your laptop you would normally need the software and drivers for it. My Samsung Es90 digital camera's shutter is not working, plus, the batteries are fully charged but when inserted, it only last 2-3 minutes. What can I do to resolve this?

I'm assuming by "shutter" you're referring to the one inside the camera and not the cover blades on the very front of the lens. How old is the battery and do you use the camera a lot? Old batteries can be fully charged but can become weak and not hold that charge when the camera is powered on. The shutter issue could be part of this as the battery might not be strong enough to power the shutter. I think the batteries for these cameras are reasonably cheap so you could invest in a new one to see if that helps. An extra battery is always useful if you use the camera a lot. If this is an old, well used camera part do wear out so if new battery doesn't help you may need to take it to a good repairer as the camera will need to be taken apart to find the problem.
