Kodak EasyShare M1033 Digital Camera - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Windows 8 is unable to install driver due to invalid NIF
Consider NOT using the driver at all.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa (
http://picasa.google.com ).
Green light is blinking while charging
On page 2 of the manual it says:
Battery charging light. Blinking : Charging
Lit: finished charging.
So everything is still fine. At least as soon as the light burns normal.
Retrieve deleted photos from memory card
If you are using a memory card, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos.
This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.
Restoring deleted pictures
if you haven't continued to use the memory card you can download a freeware called glary undelete.
it will let you undelete most of the photos.there are several available.
The one I used was Glary undelete.
here is the text from the about section.
Glary Undelete is a free and easy-to-use yet powerful file undelete solution
for FAT and NTFS file systems. It will bring back files emptied from the Recycle
Bin, in a DOS window, from Windows Explorer with the SHIFT key held down. It
will even recover files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses!
Glary Undelete works under Win 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista operating
systems. The program supports all Windows file systems for hard and floppy
drives including FAT12/16/32,NTFS/NTFS5 and image recovery from CompactFlash,
SmartMedia, MultiMedia and Secure Digital cards.
good luck
How to restore deleted pictures in kodak m1033
STOPdo not write anything to your camera's SDHC card, otherwise you willt re-write the files and permanently loose your important info.Install this photo recovery software called Tenorshare Photo Recovery(For Windows orTenorshare Photo Recovery for Mac). From inside the software,navigate/choose your SDHC card letter( "D", "F", "G" ... ? ) and scan the section where it says "Deleted Rrecovery" . Scan the card and Set the destination folder(folder where recovered files will be saved) somewhere on your computer.BTW, you can get this recovery software fromhttp://www.any-data-recovery.com/ It will show you the file name, type, date and size of your files and thumbnails for your pictures that it found on your card.WARNING:there will be lots of recovered files,do not set the destination folder as your DESKTOP,otherwise you'll end up having 100000 files on your desktop... = total mess :)

You don't need any special software. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as
Picasa.

I recovered lost photos with steps below1. Take out the memory card from camera and connect the memory card to computer with a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.2. Download
camera photo recovery software, recommended asoftech photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Asoftech-Photo-Recovery/126127714100611?sk=info3. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.
