What can I do to retrieve deleted photos that were deleted by accident?

They mske some free recovery programs to run on your home computer for deleted photos as long as you have not used your flash card again and taken images over the old images. Work well as I have recovered many photos for people when this happened.

I have a Kodak Easyshare M1033. When I try to use the zoom it turns the camera off.

Have you tried doing a reset ? The instructions for this should be in the manual.

How would I know if my camera is full?

Try brand new batteries - sounds like weak batteries since the lens won't move.

Restoring deleted pictures

if you haven't continued to use the memory card you can download a freeware called glary undelete.
it will let you undelete most of the photos.there are several available.
The one I used was Glary undelete.
here is the text from the about section.
Glary Undelete is a free and easy-to-use yet powerful file undelete solution for FAT and NTFS file systems. It will bring back files emptied from the Recycle Bin, in a DOS window, from Windows Explorer with the SHIFT key held down. It will even recover files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses!

Glary Undelete works under Win 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista operating systems. The program supports all Windows file systems for hard and floppy drives including FAT12/16/32,NTFS/NTFS5 and image recovery from CompactFlash, SmartMedia, MultiMedia and Secure Digital cards.

good luck

Zoom out and it shuts down

Don't think you'll have to send it in for repair. How old is your battery? Keep in mind that it isn't meant to last for more than a year or two, regardless of how often it is used. A camera will automatically shut down if its battery power is getting low. This usually occurs when the camera is doing power intensive actions, such as zooming (it uses a motor). Anyways, Amazon has some generic options for you if your battery may be over-the-hill:

Retrieve deleted photos from memory card

If you are using a memory card, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos. This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.

Windows 8 is unable to install driver due to invalid NIF

Consider NOT using the driver at all. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Green light is blinking when charging

It's supposed to. The blinking indicates that it's charging. A steady glow indicates that it's finished charging. See http://resources.kodak.com/support/shtml/en/manuals/urg00846/urg00846c1s3.shtml

Green light is blinking while charging

On page 2 of the manual it says: Battery charging light. Blinking : Charging Lit: finished charging. So everything is still fine. At least as soon as the light burns normal.

Half of my pictures on

So what kind of un-recognized format your photos turned into? Are they now RAW format? I guess yes because I met this kind of error on my Canon camera. In your case you should take a try this photo recovery software PhotoRetrieval. It should help you out. If you are Mac user, go to Photo Recovery for Mac. Just connect your camera (memory card or stick etc) to the computer which has installed this program and start to recover. But just remember - DO NOT write anything back until you get the deleted data back. Best regards.
