Hi, please ensure that the battery isn't past it's expiration date- even if it's not been used before, an expiration m. And please ensure that the sd card does not have more data stored than was built for the camera to handle. Hi, Please make sure that your camera doesn't have a black cover or tax over the lends. This would block any images from being stored whenever you attempt to take a picture. In other words, the camera wouldn't be able "to see". If you can't find any cover, please check that you've properly inserted an SD card for the camera to use and then switch modes (ie action, night time etc) until you see the area that you're attempting to capture come on the camera screen.
