I would do a master reset. Or even better, connect to your computer with the USB cord and you can use Blackberry Desktop Manager to update the blackberry 8110's software. Newer versions of the OS are faster and don't hang as often.

Your problem could hardware, need to install a small piece of audio that goes in the speaker. This is if you don't have the BB in mute. 

make sure the battery is charged and hold down the end call button or the silence button

The icon/ application for the internet is the browser - from the home screen you need to edit and show all icons as it may be hidden. You also need to set this up with your network provider - TMobile will need to send you browser settings usually via SMS which you need to save.

To set up an email account is it POP or via the enterprise server?
If it is POP - You can do this via email settings or the setup wizard.

If it is via an enterprise server you will need these details which should be provided to you by the administrator.

okay, this is what i do with mine. Hold down "ALT" then punch in "nmll" while holding down "ALT. It worked for me. Good luck

If I am understanding this correctly...
The phone was interrupted during the install/update process of its firnware on to the phone.
This is a serious problem with the phone. Disurpting it like you had done has caused the install to fail. There is no way to fix this problem. You pretty much bricked your phone. Your going to have to take it back to the store or get it replaced. 
This happens a lot when users upgrade their blackberrys but they must NOT have anything go wrong with the process. If so, there is nothing that can fix the phone because there is no OS or anything workable on the phone.

Hi,

You can change it if you go to profiles -> advanced and then choos your active profile. Ther you can choose the level 1 alert messages and change the ringtone or message tone for them.

Hello, you may need to reprovision your data settings. You can do this a few ways usually -
try going to manage connections/
mobile network connections/
then click the blackberry button/
and hit start provisioning -

this should refresh your data settings and fix your problem!

Hold the home key power and volume down sometimes it its up so try both ways if not go on u tube they have a video on how to do it just type in how to master reset and what your phone is and your good to go

try restarting your phone if this does not help, I would call Verizon and tell them your issue
