Your Nokia phone was designed with a default security code of 12345.

To change it,
1. Go to 'settings' on your phone.
2. Then 'security'.
3. Then 'access codes'.
4. Then 'change security code'.
5. When you select to change security code,
it would prompt you to enter the security code (initial one, ie. 12345).
6.When you have entered the intial one, it would prompt for the new code.
7. Enter any 5- digtit new code of yours.
8. It would prompt for a confirmation.
9. Re enter the new code.

And your security code is changed. But remember to use number you can easily remember.

Download the latest software updater and pc suite from Nokia.
Plug in your phone and cable as if you were doing the update still.
The updater should indicate searching for device it should find the device and ask if to (re)install the update.
Click yes.
On numerous occasions it will tell you retry.......just keep clicking retry if you are instructed to disconnect cable do so connect again and click retry...keep doing this each time.
Eventually your phone should boot up again.

For uninstall it should not prompt you for the code.

Just get into Menu -> Settings -> Application Manager -> Installed Apps.
It will bring up a list of all the installed apps on the phone.

Scroll to the Anti Virus and tap on "Options" and then tap "Uninstall."

That should take care of the uninstallation.

In case it does prompt you for the code, use 12345, that will take care of the issue.

please do these tips :
insure that your SIM card working properly test it in another phone

if it work so clean the SIM card place , and test it while you push the battery to keep SIM in its place .

if that don't help try to software the device .

if that don't help so you must check about SIM driver(IC connect SIM base with CPU).

you may wanna try this hope this helps:

1.Make sure your phone is fully charged.
2.Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card (if possible).
3.Switch off your N73 phone.
4.4Press and hold these three keys together:
The green dial key,
The star key (*)
The three key (3)
5.Press the power on/off for 1 minute to switch on the N73 phone. Do not let go of the three keys until you see the "formatting" screen displayed
6.Wait a few minutes until the format is complete. Your N73 will now be formatted and restored to its original factory settings.

Usually it means the file is corrupt because the N73 does support mp4, however you may also try using DivX Mobile for Symbian. It works just like any other video player.

Switch-off your phone. 1. Press and hold 3 keys; Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press the power on/off to swtich on the phone. Remember, do not let go the 3 press and hold keys until you see a formatting word screen show! 2. After a few minutes when the Full phone formatting completed, your phone will back to original system and factory settting.

If your phone displays the 'sim not valid ' then your phone is currently locked to particular network. You need to unlock to use it with other network.
There can be many ways to Unlock your phone. As far as i know unlocking by codes is the simple and safe way. I will suggest the website Unlock-zone.com which is doing good service and they were recommended highly in the cell phone forums.
I used them to unlock my cell phone. contacted them and within 30 mins i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked.
