Try your carrier or Motorola for an update. It will teach you how to load it. It is like reprogramming your phone and will fix everything. other than that google for q-mods and find a site that has the files you need.

I HAVE NO HOME SCREEN LAYOUTS TO CHOOSE FROM. CAN I FIX THIS?
All that you have to do is perform a master reset. I had this same problem with my ohone. Steps are as followed;
1. Press start and navigate your way to the system tools tab.
2. Once you have found system tools go ahead and click on the master reset tab.
3. WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BACKED UP ALL OF YOUR DATA AS THIS WILL DELETE EVERYTHING AND REPLACE IT WITH ITS FACTORY/DEFAULT SETTING.

Resetting phone
master reset:
you can do the master reset by start>system tools>master reset
can also be done by re-booting your Q snd quickly pressing down and holding the red button and center silver selection button simultaneously before the verizon's symbol appears.
you may have to do this several times.be sure to erased the memory of your Q clean before doing this.if both doesn't work, follow the next set of instructions
1. Be
sure to have atleast 75% battery on your Motorola Q
2. Be
sure that you have backed up all data on the device since this will wipe the
device clean
3. Power off the Motorola Q
4. Power on the Motorola Q
5. Once you see the initial carrier screen, hold the center button on the navigation pad.
6. Keep it held until you get a “Master Reset?” screen.
7. Click the left softkey for “Yes” and the phone will wipe and reload the OS
from ROM
BE SURE NOT TO REMOVE THE BATTERY WHEN
YOU DO THIS or you may ‘brick’ your phone.

Fastest way is to simply have customer service remove the email feature from your phone, or place a block on email. That way no emails arrive, you don't get charged for anything, and the entire process takes less than 5 minutes.

If you installed any apps lately un install them 1 by 1 until you find which is the problem. also reboot between each so you can see which one it was. If that doesn't do it take it in for another one.
