I have display problem, when i try to open laptop, screen doesnot open properly, after 2/3 times shut down it work, what is the problem

If you have a recovery partition, take a DVD disc make a copy of the operational system asp, so if your system crashes you can recover everything to factory setting. Run a full scan for virus's, go to www.download.com Type: ccleaner and run program to clean out junk files, next download smart defrag and run the program to organize hard drive files. Now if you are still having trouble run a full recovery of your operational system to factory setting.

My staellite A205-S4707 gets a charge, powers on

A couple of thoughts,

Is this the case while connected to the charger? If not try starting it while still connected to the charger. If it runs OK, your battery may have died.

If it still doesn't run, it may be a over-heating problem. Check underneath, see if all the vents are clear and free of dust.

A bad connection between the power jack and the

What needs to happen is on the motherboard underneath the power jack, there are solder points that have hairline cracks in them. The best way to fix it is to remove the motherboard from the laptop and to resolder all the solder points for the power jack.

Once you do this then the power should stay on cause wiggling the power cord won't cause the laptop to turn off.

Toshiba Satellite laptop does not power - no blue light to recogn

You should NEVER see sparks when connecting the AC adapter.

If you are seeing that there is damage in either the adapter, the AC plug or both although I would suspect internal damage in the plug.

Unless your handy with a sauldering iron I think this would be a good point to take it to a pro, they can test the AC adapter with a voltmeter and confirm or deny my suspicion. If I'm wrong the voltmeter will show wrong voltage for the unit, if I'm right it will be in tolerance and you'll know the AC plug is the most likely culprit.

Depending on the model and the repair shop these typically cost about $100-$200 to repair.

Toshiba Satellite A205-S4707 ethernet connection issues

Try this:

Open a command prompt. If it has been opened before you should see it on your start menu. If so , RIGHT click on it and select Run as Administrator.

If it is not directly on your start menu , go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > command prompt and do the same.

In the command prompt , type "ipconfg /release"
without the quotes of course.

Then type in "ipconfig /renew"

You should have an IP Address now.

Type "ping www.google.com"

you should get something like this:

On my Toshiba Satellite a205-s4707 dvd player not working

Allright this one can be tricky so we need to isolate the problem between software and hardware.

First, get into the bios and see it's being detected.

If not then turn off the computer and unscrew the drive from the laptop, MAJORITY of laptops only need to have one screw unscrewed to release the drive. If yours doesn't then you'll have to do a little more work, let's just assume you have the majority for now.

Next, pull the drive out, feel free to give the back connector a quick puff of air, now carefully place the drive back into the laptop so that it's nice and tight.

Check to see if that solves your problem.

If not we'll try something else.
