Hello....
No Sound, No Volume Control, Mixer not Found, No Sound device installed…etc etc, This is a generic issue with all Windows OS updates....many of the users are facing this issue....this issue began after an auto update from MS changed many IRQs of Win OS, mainly the Sound and Audio Control system of Windows.
1 - R U facing NO Audio / No Sound issue...?
2 - Is ur Volume Control not responding ?
3 - Is ur Sound and Audio Device in Control Panel Grayed out ?
4 - Do u get a msg "No Active Mixer Devices Installed....when u try to open Volume Ctrl etc etc ?

If ur ans to any one of them is Yes...then u are being spammed by Microsoft....as ur Sound Control IRQ is being frozen by a recent update from Microsoft....
NOTE..THIS…IS…VERY..IMPORTANT...
No file update or any sound driver update can fix it, neither Microsoft is issuing any patch to fix it…or giving any help on this.

just replace the keyboard simple

try with different browers too is is the same problem(google chrome,firefox,opera,etc) if not use them insted.

you can do that by adjusting it from your vga driver by right click on the desktop and choose dirction of the monitor or by the icon beside the clock in the task bar but first flib the monitor physcally so you can move ... by the way some pepole do that from the safe mode that you can enter from the first boot of your windows with pressing f8

When installing audio driver, the driver checks for UAA driver in your computer. If the driver is not installed then you will get this error.

Download the driver:

Now install the driver

That is screen resolution issue .
For that when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in "Enable vga mode" Then go t o start menu->control panel->display->settings.
Change screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok.
Then restart then check.
If still same issue then enter in safe mode then uninstall graphic driver then reinstall again.
If you haven't driver disk then download driver from below link then install.

You have perhaps a CD for your presario Compaq computer. Try to insert that in your CD rom and look for the touch pad to enable. Or just look for the touch pad in your device manager and enable it. To open the device manager, right click computer and go to properties and click hardware then click device manager. If touch pad is in the list enable it.

There might be the issue with the VGA chip and inverter board as the LEd is not even blinking and it is freezing up on external monitor as well.Please get it checked with any local repair vendor.

Computer shutting off after a few seconds to a few minutes

This sounds like an auto shut-off signal given by the processor because of a possible over-heating issue. This usually happens when the laptop has been run for an extended time without having the dust, dirt and debris cleaned from its cooling vents and grills. After time, the thermal paste on the processor bakes under the extreme heat and starts to flake off and lose its efficiency at cooling the processor.
Get a few cans of compressed air that you would buy at an office supply store and using short bursts, blow out the dust and dirt from all the ventilation grills and vents first, make sure the laptop is powered down and battery removed. Then, open all the compartments and clean them out as well including the cd/dvd tray. There is a small black hole on the dvd bezel, just stick an open paperclip in it and it will pop the tray open. Blow a good blast in there to clean the dvd player.
There is the possibility that the thermal paste will have to be replaced, that means you need to gain access to the heatsink and remove from the processor, clean all the old thermal paste from it and apply a small thin layer of new paste to the top of the processor and replace the heatsink, securing it evenly with the attached screws. If you uncomfortable with this step, I would look into one of the local shops to perfrom this procedure for you, because it is critical for the laptop's survival over the long run.
