Tv keeps going into standby mode

Always check the input on your tv. Depending on where you have placed your composites would determine what input your tv is set at. If I could be of further assistance, please provide tv model and what device you are using to connect to
Flashing standby light
Flashing red light can sometimes be fixed by holding down the power button on TV until it stops flashing then turn it off then on again. Disconnect everything except power cord before trying this. Mine was fixed this way and saved $500+ repair. Still going over 6 months on. Worth trying.

Sound processor is in trouble. If you wish to know more about the blinking codes, check this link. It has details about the blinking codes to many brand TVs. Pull up older posts, either by its left side bar, or, see it in 'Timeslide' option.

Device got wet
If the TV was off then leave it off and let it set for several days until you are sure that the whole thing is dry, and possibly even remove the back panel so air can get to the boards then try plugging it in again. If it was on it may be completely fried and you should replace the TV.

Check the HDMI settings.
Panasonic Viera keeps going into picture refresh
The tv is on "store" rather than "home" setting. If the message "going to refresh mode" keeps appearing every 5-10 minutes, do the following:
-Unplug TV from wall and leave it for about a minute.
-Plug TV back in and follow "initial setup instructions" (can be found on page 14 of manual).
You will be given the choice of "home" or "store" settings. Change it from "store" to "home".
-Done.
